Mujiq Fest NaraFri, 5/1 – Thu, 12/31 Nara Prefecture

Musikfest Nara, whose name comes from the German word for “music festival,” is a large-scale music festival organized by Nara Prefecture that began in 2012. Venues across the prefecture include World Heritage shrines and temples, historic halls, as well as cafés and community centers in town, blending the ancient capital’s scenery with a rich variety of sounds. Centered on classical music, the lineup spans jazz, traditional Japanese music, world/folk music, and rock, fostering a community-wide music culture. In 2026, it will run for an extended period from May through December.

Unebi Station Music MarcheWednesday, May 6 – Nara Prefecture

A day of music and a market that has continued with the aim of creating a place where local people can gather and thrive in their own community, set at JR Unebi Station in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture. Using the historic station building—which includes a VIP room established for visits to the Unebi Mausoleum—as the venue, there will be a music stage alongside local food and merchandise booths. The Capras Jr.

A diverse lineup including Band and CHARHAN is scheduled to appear, and the interior of the VIP room will also be open to the public. The 9th edition will be held in May 2026.
