When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

Experienced with a variety of instruments: marching band in elementary school, clarinet in junior high school wind ensemble, and drums in a band from high school onward. In music, I enjoy not only rock from Japan and abroad but, lately, a wide range of J-pop as well.

Boozy Woogie Music Festival ~BOOZY WOOGIE~Hyogo Prefecture, Sat 10/4–Sun 10/5

This is a music event launched in 2022, hosted by BOOZYS—who operate restaurants in Kobe—and the music交流 bar Otohatoba. Artists with ties to Kobe gather with the city as the venue. Since BOOZYS is one of the organizers, the food area lineup is also extensive. Popular eateries from the Kansai area set up shop, so lines form there too; we recommend listing the places you want to visit early. Enjoy a happy day off with delicious food and great music!
