Music Festivals in May [2026]: Outdoor Festivals and Events Summary

At the Spar Stage in front of Kichijoji Station, free live shows are held, and various performances take place at Inokashira Park and Musashino Public Hall. In addition, independently organized events at individual shops around Kichijoji and the Kichion Contest are held, making the entire town of Kichijoji overflow with music throughout the period.

This festival has a slightly unusual style: an outdoor event on a special stage beside the market near the port. It’s held with the hope of sharing the beauty of Toyama Bay, its delicious fish and food culture, and bringing music to even more people. The concept is “a festival created by everyone, overflowing with smiles.”

It’s one of the largest hip-hop events in Japan. Since 2023, it has been revamped from NAMIMONOGATARI and held as ASIAN HIPHOP CONNECTION. The star-studded lineup every year is a major draw, captivating countless heads. Another highlight is the abundance of programs designed for children to participate in.

With the slogan “Let’s enjoy Golden Week to the fullest with music,” this is a large-scale circuit event presented by RAD Creation, a pillar of Nagoya’s music scene. Not only in Nagoya—venues in Osaka will also host events during the period. It’s a rare chance to enjoy a wide array of bands and idols who regularly light up live houses, all at once.
