Hibiya Live FestivalSaturday, 4/25 – Sunday, 5/31, Tokyo

The urban entertainment festival that has been running since 2018 will be rebranded and expanded as “HIBIYA LIVE FESTIVAL” starting in 2026. Set in Hibiya—a district often called “Japan’s Broadway”—the event will center on theater and music, presenting a wide range of live performances including musicals, opera, ballet, and jazz. A roofed special stage will debut at the main venue, Hibiya Step Square, and during Golden Week, Hibiya Park will also join as a satellite venue.

JAM FESTokyo, Wed 4/29 – Wed 5/6

JAM FES is an independently organized festival held every year during Golden Week by Nishi-Eifuku JAM. The venue first opened in Shinjuku in 1980 and moved to Nishi-Eifuku, Suginami in 2018. This long-running event gathers a diverse array of bands with the warm, community-rooted feel of a neighborhood live house. Centered on rock, punk, and alternative, its eclectic lineup spans up-and-coming acts to mid-career artists. On some days during the festival, attendees can move freely between the main space and the adjoining UNDERGROUND, making for an intense eight days of hopping between two stages. Scheduled from April 29 to May 6, 2026.

Salad Music FestivalSat 5/2 – Wed 11/18, Tokyo

The SaLaD Music Festival was launched in 2018 as a festival where everyone can experience and express the joy of music. Based on the concept behind its name—Sing and Listen and Dance: Sing! Listen! Dance!—it offers a fresh and diverse lineup of programs. In addition to its main venue at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre (Toshima Ward), performances are also held at the Ueno Park Outdoor Stage and civic halls throughout the Tama area. From May to November 2026, the festival will present the Main Concert, the OK! Orchestra, the SaLaD Premium Concert, and more.

TOKYO M.A.P.S is an urban music program that J-WAVE and Roppongi Hills have been running since 2008, built on the concept of a map where Music, Art, and Performance intersect. It is held every year during Golden Week at Roppongi Hills Arena, with that year’s organizer welcoming a diverse lineup of artists. VTUBER EXPO 2026 is an interactive exposition dedicated to VTubers, billed as the world’s first of its kind. On the first floor of Bellesalle Akihabara, visitors can “become” a VTuber through motion capture, talk with VTubers at special booths, enjoy a dedicated stage featuring mini live performances and talk shows by popular VTubers, and explore exhibits from related companies—among many other attractions.
