It’s an idol song, but since it’s not overly sparkly, I think it’s easy to sing at karaoke.

The structure is very straightforward—verse A to verse B to the chorus—with the energy building in order, so even if your range is narrow, adding momentum to each melodic section may help you gradually get a feel for projecting your voice.

That said, the chorus is a bit high.

If it’s hard to sing in chest voice, don’t push yourself—use falsetto.

Falsetto uses a lot of breath, so with practice, you might suddenly find yourself able to produce a stronger falsetto! Try inhaling through your mouth properly and singing as if you’re sending your voice forward.

Terra BoySCANDAL

Terra BoySCANDAL

SCANDAL is a girls’ rock band that has been active for many years.

They’ve produced numerous great songs, but one I especially want to recommend is “Terra Boy.” Considering all parts, you can’t quite call the range narrow because a falsetto appears in the B-melody, but aside from that, the song stays within a limited range.

The falsetto itself is on the lower side, so even women who can’t sing very high should be able to manage it comfortably.

It’s also nice that there’s a rap section where you can give your voice a bit of a rest.

Blooming at nightHoshimachi Suisei

As of June 2025, the average score on JOYSOUND’s karaoke scoring for this song seems to be around 90.35, giving the impression that the average is relatively high.

Indeed, among Suisei Hoshimachi’s songs, the vocal range isn’t that high and it’s fairly compact, so I think it’s easier to stay on pitch compared to her other tracks.

Also, the rhythm is very easy to grasp, so once you learn it, it’s an easy song to sing! If you make sure to keep a steady 4/4 beat while singing, your timing will match and it’ll be easier to perform.

For the fast-paced lyrics, instead of enunciating sharply, try to sing them lightly.

I hate this love songchanmina

Chanmina’s poignant song “I hate this love song” serves as the image song for the film ‘Ka「」Ku「」Shi「」Go「」To「’ which was released on May 30, 2025.

Although Chanmina has many rap tracks, this song has no rap, making it much easier to sing compared to her other songs.

The vocal range is F#3 to F#4, staying within a single octave.

It’s a generally quiet piece, but when singing, be mindful of your core so your voice doesn’t fade.

Since it includes both low notes and falsetto, try singing gently with the image of resonating from the top of your head.

Also, the finger snap in the background is very important, so make sure to keep time by listening closely to that sound!

Transparent sheet musicnozomi

Noshimi is a female singer-songwriter known for her unique, laughter-inducing compositions.

Her new song “Transparent Score” departs from her usual musical style, featuring a serious and dreamlike melody.

There’s a falsetto part toward the end of the chorus, which reflects a current vocal trend, but the notes are actually within a comfortable range to sing in chest voice, so you shouldn’t struggle with the high notes.

The overall range isn’t wide, so consider adding it to your repertoire.

PolyrhythmPerfume

Perfume’s breakthrough song released in 2007—some of you might have felt it sparked an entirely new genre.

They also announced a hiatus for 2025.

Polyrhythm doesn’t require a wide vocal range, so I personally hope those of you reading this will give it a try.

The song should be sung lightly over its brisk beat.

Clearly enunciating each word will help bring out the right vibe, but if you sing standing rigidly still, your mouth can tense up, making high notes harder and causing overall stiffness.

It’s important to get your whole body into the groove! Use your knees to move with the rhythm, and have fun singing.

Yurina Hirate, former center of Keyakizaka46.

She was praised for her strong charisma since her idol days, and after transitioning to a solo artist, she continues to attract popularity with that same charisma.

Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is ALL I WANT.

This track evokes the R&B sound of the 2000s and stays within a narrow vocal range throughout.

It only has an R&B flavor without any particularly difficult vocal runs, so it’s possible to aim for a high score.
