Songs with titles starting with “No” (Perfect for karaoke and shiritori!)

You probably can’t immediately think of many song titles that start with “no,” can you?

There are relatively many words you don’t often hear in everyday life, and lots of them have English titles.

Things like “Nobody…,” “Note,” “NOT…,” and so on.

There are also memorable masterpiece tracks that symbolize the artists themselves.

I’ve put together a list of song titles that might be useful when you want to look something up—just a bit…!

Feel free to use it not only when you’re curious about what songs start with “no,” but also as a prompt for shiritori word games or when choosing songs at karaoke.

Songs with titles starting with “No” [Great for karaoke & shiritori too!] (341–350)

Nomadbarūn

It might resonate especially deeply when you listen at night, in a quiet moment.

This song is by Balloon, a popular Vocaloid producer also known for the big hit “Charles,” and it was released in 2022.

It was provided for the unit 25-ji, Nightcord de.

that appears in the mobile game “Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat.

Hatsune Miku.” The stylish sound that unfolds at a relaxed tempo has a charm that feels like it fills an empty heart.

When you’re struggling with life, it will be there by your side.

NOTOKHitorie

This song expresses an inner cry where conflict and pain intertwine.

It’s an unreleased track created by HITORIE’s wowaka during his lifetime, released in November 2024.

The brisk, rapid-fire vocals—one of wowaka’s hallmarks—and the edgy sound influenced by post-hardcore are striking.

The densely interwoven layers of sound rattle your ears and mind.

It’s a track that evokes the roots of HITORIE’s musical identity and reflects the band’s commitment to carrying on wowaka’s legacy.

Give it a listen when you want to confront the emotions deep within your heart.

Knock Knockpirafu seijin

Pilaf Seijin is a rapper who draws attention—for better or worse—in the MC battle scene.

While he tends to attract a lot of haters in battles, his recorded music has been quite successful, racking up over a million plays, which is rare in hip-hop.

Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Knock Knock.” It’s delivered in a style that sits between rapping and singing, and it’s performed within a narrow vocal range throughout all parts.

It’s a big hit with teens and up, so definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.

NO BITTER LIFEfurenzu

“No Bitter Life” is a cheer-up song about living the way you want, true to yourself.

The call to raise a toast with friends at a party feels encouraging and really lifts your spirits.

The rap in the middle brightens the track and boosts the mood.

And that final lyric about loving everything, just as it is, gives a wrapped-in-warmth sense of comfort—what a wonderful song.

Nobody Loves Mehonkonnaifu

THE HONG KONG KNIFE – Nobody Loves Me
Nobody Loves Mehonkonnaifu

They made their live debut at Shinjuku Loft in 1993 as JOE ALCOHOL & THE HONG KONG KNIFE.

In 1996, they signed their first major deal.

With lyrics that showcased a unique worldview and thunderous rock ’n’ roll, they were active on the Japanese rock scene.

“CHERISHED MEMORIES,” released in 2000, was used as the ending theme for a Fuji TV anime and became one of their signature songs.

In December 2002, they announced an indefinite hiatus to much regret, bringing an end to nine years of activity.

A Fine Day for a Stray Dog to Run WildBosu hashirazu isoide aruite kite bokura o tasukete P

The producer’s name (as a Vocaloid P) is based on the manga ‘Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san.’ Contrary to the playful producer name, the song is incredibly cool.

KAITO and MEIKO’s calm vocals pair beautifully with the atmospheric, deep melody.

It’s an addictive track with Japanese-style tones and a driving sense of speed.

NoiseMioyamazaki

MIOYAMAZAKI “Noise” (TV anime Jigoku Shoujo: Yoi no Togi opening theme)
NoiseMioyamazaki

MIOYAMAZAKI is a band formed in Tokyo in 2013.

They drew attention with the game app “Maji Yami Kanojo,” which reflects the band’s worldview, and won support—especially among young women—thanks to lyrics by female vocalist mio that depict the darker side of romance and resonate with listeners.

On the composition side, the leader and guitarist, taka, handles nearly all the songs.

The lineup is completed by the youngest member, bassist Shunkichi, and drummer Hang-Chang.

Their song “Menhera” is often cited as a signature track.

While their image shifts from song to song, MIOYAMAZAKI is characterized by an alternative rock sound, delicate vocals, and intensely message-driven lyrics.

Though they disbanded in 2022 to much regret, MIOYAMAZAKI’s music will continue to be etched in our hearts.
