Party Games That Excite Kindergarten and Nursery School Kids (31–40)
Spoon Relay

This is a relay-style party game where players split into several teams and carry a ping-pong ball on a ladle.
You can enjoy it on a straight course, or add variety with turnarounds using cones and curves.
Small, light objects like ping-pong balls tend to fall off easily due to wind resistance while running, but using something more stable like a beanbag makes it less likely to fall from the ladle, so even young children can enjoy it.
For teams with mixed ages, incorporate handicaps wisely so everyone can have fun.
Newspaper Battle

First, roll up sheets of newspaper to make lots of newspaper balls in advance.
Split into two teams, and each team throws their own newspaper balls into the opponent’s territory.
Set a time limit, and when time is up, the team that has thrown more newspaper balls into the enemy territory wins.
Since both teams keep tossing balls into the opponent’s side, balls keep coming back into your own territory no matter how much you throw, making it a thrilling and exciting party game.
Bingo game

A bingo game where you fill in separated squares to complete a column.
There aren’t any difficult rules, so even small children can join in easily.
With a little twist to the prompts, it can also help with learning words.
Preparing prizes for those who get bingo will make it even more exciting.
Rock-Paper-Scissors Train

Walk to the music, and when the music stops, play rock-paper-scissors with a nearby friend.
The loser lines up behind the winner, placing their hands on the winner’s shoulders to form a train.
Repeat this to make a long train, and the child who ends up at the front at the end is the winner.
Denden parent-and-child thumb

First, stick out your right thumb and your left pinky.
Keeping that pose, sing the children’s song “Katatsumuri” and, in time with the rhythm, alternately switch the extended fingers between your hands.
You can adjust the difficulty by changing the singing speed, so once you get used to it, speeding up should make it even more exciting.

Great for kids trying it for the first time! Here are some ideas for making your own Whac-A-Gator game.
Whac-A-Gator is the game where crocodiles pop out of holes at random and you hit them with a hammer, right? This time, let’s try making a homemade version.
You’ll need cardboard or empty boxes, colored construction paper, plastic ribbon, milk cartons, tape, and more.
It looks like you can make the hammer with a paper cup and disposable chopsticks! It’s sure to be a popular station that children from infant to preschool classes can enjoy.
Target practice with a candy box

Let’s make and play! Here are some ideas for a target-shooting game using candy boxes.
Target games are one of those corners that really excite kids, right? This time, let’s try making one with candy boxes.
You’ll need empty candy boxes, a stapler, rubber bands, and double-sided tape or regular tape.
It seems you can even make a rubber band gun and a festival-style headband out of empty candy boxes, so give it a try! For the targets, just line up the candy boxes and assign point values to each—easy to set up and play.
