This is an indoor game played lying on the floor called the “Daikon Game.” Children lie face down in a circle and become daikon radishes.

The adult tries to pull out the radishes by tugging on their legs.

The children should hold hands tightly so they won’t be pulled out.

If their hands come apart, it means they’ve been pulled out and will be “eaten.” Try varying your movements—pretend to pull one radish but grab another, speed up and tug at everyone’s legs—to keep the game lively.
