On the gently rustling treetopYokoyama Daisuke / Mitani Takumi

What mysterious lyrics! Yet there’s something endearingly catchy about the phrases.
This truly feels like a children’s song.
The lyrics depict the scene of trees rustling in the wind.
Both the lyrics and the music were written and composed by Kimiko Wakayama.
Shooby Dooby PapayaJajamaru, Pikkoro, Porori

This is a song sung by the three characters, Jajamaru, Pikkoro, and Porori, in the puppet show ‘Niko Niko Pun’ from ‘Okaasan to Issho.’ It’s a classic that has continued to be sung even after ‘Niko Niko Pun’ ended.
The lyrics convey the close friendship among the three, making it a fun piece.

I want to ride a vehicle.Hanada Yuuichirou, Nagata Maya

A lively, vehicle-themed song has arrived! Sung by Yuichiro Hanada and Tamaa Nagata, this fun melody features 20 uniquely charming vehicles making their appearances one after another.
Its up-tempo, rhythmic style layered with light, friendly vocals makes it an irresistibly catchy track that will have you swaying along.
The broadcast began in November 2024, and the song is also included in the songbook “Takaromono” as of April 2025.
It’s a piece that children who love vehicles will adore—and parents can enjoy together with them.
Open your imaginations with your child and take flight into the world of all kinds of vehicles!
Age-age donutsHanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

The November 2020 Song of the Month, “Ageage Donuts.” It’s a track featuring sweet, delicious donuts that kids often request at snack time.
If you’re crying, a donut comes to comfort you; whenever you see something round, it reminds you of donuts—these cute lyrics make donuts feel even more familiar.
Listening to this song will make you crave donuts, so be sure to pick some up before you listen with your child (lol)!
Fine weather for tomorrow, please!Yokoyama Daisuke / Mitani Takumi

It’s the song that has been used as the ending theme for “Okaasan to Issho” since the 2009 puppet show Monoran Monoran began.
Although the ending song often changed when the puppet show was renewed, this song continued to be used across three generations—after Monoran Monoran, through Pokottoite and Garapiko Puu—until March 2017.
Pop’n PopcornHayami Kentarō, Shigemori Ayumi

It’s a call-and-response song you can enjoy singing along to with kids.
The lyrics are very cute and simple, so as long as you remember the word “popcorn,” you’re all set! But since the snack after all that fun will naturally be popcorn, you might want to be prepared, haha.
Teto-teto, patan.Hanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

This is the October 2019 song “Tetote to Patan.” It’s a children’s song, but it has a folk music feel and a tempo that’s surprisingly tricky to sing.
When I found out the lyrics were by Seiko Ito and the music was by U-zhaan, it somehow all made sense.
It’s challenging, but incredibly catchy—a cute little tune that makes even adults want to move along with it.
