The Oita Prefectural Sports Festival began in 1948.
This song has been used as its theme since 1950, and it was also used at the National Sports Festival held in 1966 and 2008.
CDs have been distributed to schools and other institutions, so many residents of Oita Prefecture have likely heard it.
Oita City Songongaku o aisuru Ōita shimin no kai

This is a song about Oita City, the capital of Oita Prefecture.
Oita City merged with surrounding municipalities, including Tsurusaki City, in 1963, and this song was composed in 1983 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of that merger.
This video is from the celebratory concert held for the 100th anniversary of Oita City’s founding.

This was the debut single of the enka singer Masaki Aigawa, who enjoys great popularity among women, released in 2008.
The lyrics were written by Reiji Mizuki, known as a hit maker.
