Let's make toys with paper cups! Simple and fun handmade toys (71–80)
bouquet

We’re going to make a pop-out bouquet! Cut about six slits along the side of a paper cup and spread them out.
These will become the petals, so add color or draw patterns on both the front and back.
Make a hole in what used to be the bottom, insert a straw that has small slits cut into it, and secure it with tape.
Prepare another paper cup with your favorite drawing on it and a hole in the bottom, then thread the straw attached to the flower through this bottom hole.
By moving the cups up and down, the flowers will pop out!
Paper Cup Monster

Paper cup monsters, made by decorating a paper cup base, have no complicated steps, so kids can enjoy making them.
The process is simple: just decorate the cup with a ghostly face.
You can stick on googly-eye stickers from a dollar store, or use pipe cleaners and washi tape to make facial and body parts and attach them—simple tasks that make it easy to keep trying new craft ideas.
Display the finished monsters somewhere they can be seen every day!
Kurukuru Aquarium

Make a lovely aquarium with two paper cups! Cut one window in one of the cups.
On the other cup, draw as many of your favorite aquarium creatures as you like—and you’re ready! Then just place the cup with the drawings inside the cup with the window and spin it around to meet lots of creatures.
Your cute little aquarium is complete!
Moving sea creatures

Let’s make octopuses and squids that sway in the sea using paper cups! Prepare two paper cups and color them or draw eyes on each.
On one paper cup, cut slits to divide it into eight sections for an octopus or ten for a squid, then curl them slightly to form the legs.
Fold two long strips of construction paper in an accordion style, attach them to the head and leg parts, and you’re done! Press the head and it will sway back and forth!
In conclusion
I introduced some toys made with paper cups.
They were all easy to make and could be finished in a short time.
If plain paper cups feel a bit dull, I recommend decorating them by drawing pictures or using colored paper to make them look cute! Be sure to have fun making wonderful toys together with your child!
