Rain, then Sunshine Hallelujahyuzu

Yuzu’s 39th single, “Ame nochi Hareruya” (“Rain, Then Hallelujah”), is another track you’ll want to listen to on rainy days.
The piece was created using shinobue flutist Kazuya Sato’s “Sakura-iro no Waltz” as its original composition, and it served as the theme song for the NHK morning drama Gochisosan.
The interlude weaves in a classical-style melody, giving the entire song a symphonic, grand finish.
The positive lyrics give you a boost, too.
It’s a work with a mysterious power that makes you feel bright and clear—even in the rain!
Rainy Stationhaifaisetto

If you want to sink into a bittersweet mood on a rainy day, I recommend Hi-Fi Set’s “Ame no Station.” The song was originally by Yumi Matsutoya and was included on her third album, “COBALT HOUR.” Hi-Fi Set covered it in 1977, and the chorus harmonies are beautifully done.
It has a different kind of brilliance from Matsutoya’s version.
It’s a classic that conveys the aching feeling of waiting for someone on a rain-soaked train platform, so definitely give it a listen!
In June, I write the city after the rain.Yorushika

This track, included on Yorushika’s first album “だから僕は音楽を辞めた” (That’s Why I Gave Up on Music), comes from the duo formed by Vocaloid producer n-buna and vocalist suis.
As the title includes the words “June” and “rain,” the song is richly infused with rainy imagery.
Its suggestive lyrics suit the rainy scenery—an ideal rainy-day song to listen to while watching the rain and thinking of someone.
rose flowerkururi

Starting with the word “amefuri” (rainfall), this is Bara no Hana, a song by Quruli, a band from Kyoto.
It was released as their seventh single and was used as an insert song in the drama Orange Days.
On a rainy morning, when you’re feeling a bit languid and can’t get your energy up, its fitting melody and sound bring a sense of comfort.
Also noteworthy is the chorus work by Miki Furukawa, the bass vocalist of the rock band Supercar.
It’s the kind of piece you could listen to all day.
cold rainAimer

“cold rain,” included on Aimer’s sixth album Walpurgis released in 2021, showcases her one-of-a-kind voice.
The gentle piano melody and the grandeur of the strings push the emotional tone of the entire piece to the forefront.
Sung with Aimer’s clear yet powerful vocals, the lyrics carry a strong resolve—to bloom proudly without yielding to a sorrow that feels like being struck by cold rain—and they really pierce the heart.
It’s a song I want to listen to when my mental state feels fragile.
rainy rainy rainy bluesSato Chiaki

The special rain song “rainy rainy rainy blues,” sung by Chiaki Sato, whose delicate voice grips listeners’ hearts.
It’s included on her second album, KOE, released in September 2021.
The beat, which ticks like raindrops, and the melody that conjures the image of dripping water perfectly match a rainy mood.
The lyrics, which express a desire to keep moving forward while believing in the light even amid a lingering haze of feelings, inspire a positive outlook.

Hydrangea Streetsupittsu

Included on Spitz’s sixth original album, Honey, released on September 20, 1995.
This track was used as the background music for the album’s TV commercial.
It’s a slow-tempo song themed around rain—perfect for a languid rainy day when you want to listen without thinking about anything.
