Study for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break
You can’t really use this method during classes at school, but it’s a great one for homework. It’s called the Pomodoro Technique, where you repeat a cycle of studying for 25 minutes and then taking a 5-minute break. Give it a try when you feel like you can’t concentrate very well while studying at home.
bookmark30rank/position

Let’s try making a bookmark out of polystyrene foam that will make you smile every time you open a book.
You’ll need 5 mm-thick polystyrene foam, construction paper, parchment paper, and an iron.
You can even use a food tray! First, cut two pieces of polystyrene foam to the size you want your bookmark to be.
It will shrink and end up a bit smaller, so cut them a little larger.
Place one sheet of polystyrene foam on the parchment paper, decorate it with construction paper on top, then layer the second piece of polystyrene foam over that.
Cover everything with another sheet of parchment paper on top and press with a hot iron.
When the polystyrene shrinks, place a book or another weight on top to cool it down.
Once it’s cool, you’re done! Punch a hole and thread a string through for a nice finishing touch.

PET bottle darts31rank/position

It’s a simple game you can play with a plastic bottle and stick-shaped items like disposable chopsticks.
Prepare sticks that can fit into the bottle.
The rules are easy: drop a stick toward the bottle and see if it lands inside.
It doesn’t require much space, so it’s great for indoors.
You can also adjust the difficulty—such as how high you drop the stick from or what length of stick you use—so it’s easy to tailor the rules to different ages.
Capman32rank/position

Let’s make a “Cap Man” using a plastic bottle cap! All you need are one plastic bottle and a pair of scissors.
First, cut the bottle about one third up from the bottom.
Next, make slits around the edge of the piece you cut off.
The flying power changes depending on how deep you make the slits, so try different depths.
Finally, draw a face and patterns with colorful pens, and you’re done! When you blow on it, Cap Man will spin and fly.
It’s perfect as a summer vacation craft to make with your child.
It’s also fun to create unique Cap Men and see whose can fly the best.
Kirby of the Stars33rank/position

Kirby is one of Nintendo’s signature characters, and his pink, round appearance is adorable.
Let’s recreate Kirby’s cute, round design with origami.
The most important point is how to turn a square sheet of origami paper into a round shape: by making creases and unfolding, gradually refine the corners into smaller angles.
While rounding the overall form, you’ll also shape the arms and legs from the same single sheet, which gives the model a cohesive look.
Once the shape is set, color the feet red and draw the facial features to finish the whole piece.
Drop the Handkerchief34rank/position

Speaking of Drop the Handkerchief, it’s a classic indoor game that’s been around forever, and it’s still loved because it’s thrilling and fun.
First, choose the tagger.
The tagger walks around the outside of the circle and secretly drops a handkerchief behind someone.
After dropping it, the tagger runs and completes a lap to sit in the spot of the person they dropped it behind.
If the person who had the handkerchief dropped behind them catches the tagger before they finish the lap, the tagger remains the tagger for another round.
If the person doesn’t notice even after the tagger completes the lap, they go to the center of the circle and can’t join the next game.
Which of these helps reduce the likelihood of getting bitten by mosquitoes?35rank/position
- Gargle
- Wipe the soles of your feet with a disinfectant wipe.
- Apply vinegar to the back of the hand

Wipe the soles of your feet with a disinfectant wipe.
These days, there are lots of mosquitoes flying around even outside of summer. And when you get bitten, it gets incredibly itchy—but some people feel like they’re the only ones who get bitten a lot. In fact, it’s said that having a greater variety and number of resident bacteria on the soles of your feet makes you more likely to be bitten by mosquitoes. So if you disinfect or wash the soles of your feet thoroughly, you’ll be less likely to get bitten!
