Shizuka Kudo’s Most Popular Songs Ranking [2026]

We’ve put together a ranking of popular songs by Shizuka Kudo—former Onyanko Club member and now widely known as Takuya Kimura’s wife.

The four most prominent female idol singers of the late 1980s (Shizuka Kudo, Miho Nakayama, Yoko Minamino, and Yui Asaka) were known as the “Four Queens” of female idols.

It’s a duet by Masayuki Suzuki and Momoko Kikuchi, and it was apparently used in a commercial for a company called Tokyo Telemessage, which provided radio broadcasts.

Since he’s done duets not only with Momoko Kikuchi but also with renowned female singers like Miho Nakayama and Shizuka Kudo, it’s fun to compare and listen.

A rock-oriented track that followed the direction pioneered by “Blue Rose.” It peaked at No.

8 and sold 244,000 copies.

Although it didn’t have the same momentum as at debut, it held its own amid the rise of Being-affiliated artists.

This year also drew attention with the revelation of a relationship with X JAPAN’s YOSHIKI.

Released on January 23, 1991.

It may feel like we’d had a run of ballads, but this was an upbeat track with a solid punch for the first time in a while.

It peaked at No.

2, but sales topped 300,000, reaching 324,000 copies.

Although it missed the No.

1 spot on the Oricon weekly chart—which it had held consistently since “FU-JI-TSU”—the No.

1 at the time was KAN’s “Ai wa Katsu.” From here, the era moved toward the barrage of mega-hits that defined the 1990s.
