Play with letters! Here’s an idea for “A-I-U-E Balls.” It’s a letter-play activity perfect for anyone planning a game with colored balls.
You’ll need a large basket, colored balls, masking tape, a permanent marker, and a smaller basket for collecting the balls.
First, write each of the 50 Japanese syllables on pieces of masking tape—one character per piece—and stick them onto the colored balls.
Once you put the balls into the large basket, you’re ready to go! Give the kids a prompt, then have them search the large basket to find the letters one by one.
It’s a thrilling, heart-pounding activity that’s lots of fun.

Perfect for class events and grade-wide recreation! Here are game ideas for everyone.
These unique ideas are great for grabbing the attention of children in a group or filling short breaks.
The teacher acts as the leader and gives the children instructions for actions.
However, they should only follow actions that include the phrase “everyone.” Well-behaved children tend to follow every instruction the leader gives, but the rule is to follow only the instructions that include “everyone.” Try using this when you want them to focus.

If you win rock-paper-scissors, throw the ball and try to tag your opponent! Here’s an idea for a ball battle game.
It helps develop decision-making, quick reactions, and control.
The rules are simple: whoever wins rock-paper-scissors holds a colored ball and tries to hit their opponent with it.
The player who loses should move quickly and dodge to avoid getting hit.
It’s a unique and fun game that’s sure to fill the air with laughter before you know it!
Psychological rock-paper-scissors

A new twist on invisible rock-paper-scissors! Here’s an idea for psychological rock-paper-scissors.
In this game, you face each other with a wall between you so neither can see the other’s hand.
Talk it out with lines like, “I’m throwing ___,” or “Are you throwing ___?” and try to guess what your opponent is showing.
You can change your throw until the time limit is up.
When time’s up, who’s winning? It’s a thrilling, heart-pounding way to play.
Rock-Paper-Scissors & Variety Games (11–20)
Rock-Paper-Scissors Train Game

Let me introduce the Rock-Paper-Scissors Train game.
Move around the room pretending to be a freight train to the music of a freight train.
When the music stops, play rock-paper-scissors with a friend.
The person who loses places their hands on the winner’s shoulders, boards the same train, and sets off together.
Repeat this process to add more friends to your freight train.
When everyone is riding on the same train and departs together at the end, the game is complete.
Try speeding up or slowing down the music to match the children’s pace and have fun!
Number Jump

Let’s play using both our heads and our bodies! Here’s an idea for a game called Number Jump.
Kids tend to get more excited by games that are a bit challenging rather than too easy.
How about trying Number Jump, a game that engages both the mind and the body? It’s best to start with five or more people and go over the rules slowly as you begin.
First, each person jumps one at a time while saying “1.” After the last person has jumped, switch to jumping in pairs while saying “2.” In this way, the number of people jumping at once increases, so it’s a game that requires concentration.
Give it a try!
Let’s have fun with bouncing balloons!
@.vs9086 This time’s showdown is “Video Games 🎮 vs. Bouncy Balloons.” When rainy days go on and on, don’t those super-energetic elementary school boys get antsy because they can’t play outside? In times like that, if you have bouncy balloons, kids can play basketball or volleyball indoors, and their satisfaction level goes way up! [What you need] • Balloons • Vinyl (plastic) tape [How to] (1) Inflate the balloon. (2) Wrap vinyl tape all the way around once, starting at the tied end. (3) Wrap a total of four bands around. We also made a cardboard basketball hoop! If you try it, tell us what you think in the comments!#ElementarySchoolChildcare#AtHomePlayBouncing Balloon

Just add a small twist to a balloon and it becomes fun! Here’s an idea to enjoy a bouncing balloon.
One of the charms of balloons is how they drift on the wind and float down slowly even when tossed high.
This time, let’s add a simple tweak to make a balloon that bounces with a pop-pop and play with it.
All you need is a balloon, vinyl tape, and scissors.
Once you inflate the balloon, wrap vinyl tape around the knot in a spiral—and you’re done! You might even be able to use the bouncy balloon for activities like volleyball, basketball, or other recreational games.
