Spring Flower Pom

Speaking of spring-themed crafts, flower poms are also widely loved.

A flower pom is a wall decoration made from flower paper that resembles petals.

If you use yellow flower paper, it turns out like a dandelion; if you use pink, it looks like cherry blossoms.

By skillfully combining two colors of flower paper, you can even recreate daisies.

First, decide on a flower you want to make and give it a try.

You can also arrange them by sticking them onto a drawing of tree branches for display.

Weeping Cherry Blossom Garland

[Easy] Weeping Cherry Blossom Garland – A wall hanging/ornament/wreath made with origami and mizuhiki
Weeping Cherry Blossom Garland

We’re going to make a weeping cherry blossom garland using origami paper and mizuhiki cord.

Cut a pink sheet of origami paper into four equal pieces, then fold each piece into a triangle twice.

Divide it into three sections, cut it into a cherry blossom shape, and unfold it.

Once opened, make a slit along one petal.

Prepare a 90 cm length of mizuhiki, thread it through the slit, then overlap one petal and glue it so the mizuhiki is sandwiched inside.

Leave a little space and sandwich the next blossom in the same way.

Make several strands like this to suit the size of the space where you’ll display them.

With its dimensionality and movement, it should make for a charming wall decoration.

Paper flower of white clover

(Paper Flower) How to Make Spring Decorations: Clover (White Clover) [DIY] (Paper flower) Spring Decoration Clover
Paper flower of white clover

This is a clover-inspired decoration made by combining the outlines of paper petals to complete the piece.

The gentle white flowers convey the charm of white clover, evoking the warmth of spring and soft sunlight.

As it’s also the flower of the clover, it carries a sense of happiness, which is another highlight.

The process involves folding paper, making slits, and shaping the petals.

Because the petals are delicate, it’s important to cut carefully with focus.

Layering them creates the rounded look of white clover, and attaching a stem completes a single flower.

How you use the finished flowers is up to you—enjoy them in various ways, such as making a wreath or a bouquet.

Let’s make a balloon cherry blossom by treating a hot air balloon as if it were a sakura flower.

Balloons carry meanings like travel and departure, so they’re perfect for the season of setting off on new journeys.

First, glue two shades of pink construction paper, slightly offset, and attach leaves and cherry blossoms in the gaps.

Secure the lower part with glue, and fasten the upper part with a stapler so it becomes half three-dimensional.

Once that’s done, attach the basket where people would ride, and decorate around it with flowers and butterflies.

It will make a very luxurious wall decoration.
