Songs by TUBE. A list of TUBE’s classic hits and recommended popular tracks.
When you think of TUBE, you think of summer songs! It’s true that the majority of their hit songs are themed around summer, and they’re strongly associated with wearing aloha shirts all year round, but of course they’re active in other seasons as well.
They perform live shows throughout the year, too.
They’ve been labeled a “perpetual summer band,” but this time we researched songs that don’t fit that image.
You might discover TUBE’s charm from this different side of them, including some hidden gems—so please take a look!

TUBE songs. A list of Tube’s classic and recommended popular tracks (81–90)
Shiny morningTUBE

If you’re looking for a refreshing rock song that you’ll want to listen to in the morning, I recommend TUBE’s “Shiny Morning.” It feels like a morning song that only TUBE—known for their strong summer image—could create, and the sound conveys a fresh, radiant vibe.
Even on a hot summer morning, listening to this track is sure to make your whole day enjoyable.
Goodbye, YesterdayTUBE

Nobutoki Maeda, a member of TUBE, is from Atsugi City in Kanagawa Prefecture, while Hideyuki Kakuno and Reiji Matsumoto are from Zama City in Kanagawa Prefecture.
This song was released in 1991 as TUBE’s 13th single.
Used as the CM song for Konica’s “Torikkiri Konica,” it features a Latin rhythm, and the lyrics are written in a feminine voice.
MENTHOL HEAVENTUBE
MENTHOL HEAVEN was featured as the theme song for the New Escudo commercial.
It was the B-side to the single Hanabi and was included on the 1998 album HEAT WAVER.
Along with TUBE’s signature freshness, the song’s boundless, piercing vibe is totally invigorating—just like menthol.
It’s also perfect as a driving song.
With imagery that evokes Hawaii, it lays bare honest feelings alongside a resort-like, summertime sense of freedom, making it a smile-inducing summer tune.
Skip ONJUKU-OHARA-TAITOTUBE

This is a local song by TUBE, a band synonymous with Japanese summers, filled with love for the seas of Chiba.
It sings of the exhilaration of speeding along the coastline, passing through place names like Onjuku, Ohara, and Taito.
The breezy guitar sound and buoyant rhythm make it feel like you’re on a seaside drive with the sound of waves as your BGM.
The track is included on their debut album “HEART OF SUMMER,” released in July 1985.
Listening to this while cruising along the Boso coast may evoke bittersweet memories of summers past for some.
PurityTUBE

When you think of summer, you think of TUBE.
Their big summer hits like “Ah, Natsu Yasumi” are great, but do you assume TUBE only has a summer image and only performs in the summer? In fact, among TUBE’s songs there are winter ballads as well, and they’ve released albums too.
In this way, TUBE has many hidden gems.
This is my favorite TUBE song.
Its slightly wistful sound and lyrics are perfect for a quiet summer night.
summer festivalTUBE

When it comes to bands essential to summer songs, TUBE surely comes to mind.
If you’re looking for a bittersweet summer track among TUBE’s songs, “Natsu Matsuri” is highly recommended! Released in 2004 as their 43rd single, it reached No.
5 on the Oricon Singles Chart.
The story of a summer festival with someone you finally got to meet, only to have to part ways, brings on a poignant, aching feeling.
Don’t just listen to upbeat tracks—try a bittersweet summer song once in a while!

FULL SWINGTUBE

A song chosen as the official theme for the “RIZAP KBC Augusta Golf Tournament 2016.” Although it’s technically a B-side, it’s so cool that it feels like it deserves to be a lead track.
When it comes to summer songs, TUBE is the go-to, but this one completely shifts the mood with a rock sound.
I bet many people feel a surge of motivation when they listen to it!
