Lovely summer song

Songs by TUBE. A list of TUBE’s classic hits and recommended popular tracks.

When you think of TUBE, you think of summer songs! It’s true that the majority of their hit songs are themed around summer, and they’re strongly associated with wearing aloha shirts all year round, but of course they’re active in other seasons as well.

They perform live shows throughout the year, too.

They’ve been labeled a “perpetual summer band,” but this time we researched songs that don’t fit that image.

You might discover TUBE’s charm from this different side of them, including some hidden gems—so please take a look!

Keeping the FaceTUBE

It’s a classic track included on the 1988 album “Remember Me,” and there was a period when it was always performed in the latter half of their live shows.

With lyrics by Maeda and music by Haruhata, it features a distinctly rock-oriented feel.

It’s also known for having many fans who strongly hope to hear it performed live.

P.S.TUBE

Against the backdrop of a cityscape bathed in the colors of sunset, a gentle melody that comforts the heart resonates.

In this work by TUBE, they sing a gem of a song about the loneliness and confusion felt amid the bustle of the city—and about hope.

Released in December 2007, it’s also cherished as a Christmas song that brings a warm light to the winter streets.

While delicately expressing the ache of being alone and the desire for human connection, it also conveys the strength of “somehow getting through today.” It’s a song I especially recommend to those worn out by city life or feeling lost in their journey.

A song that beautifully intertwines unwavering feelings for a loved one with vivid summer scenes.

Like sunflowers blooming proudly without yielding to strong winds, the lyrics convey a powerful strength to overcome any hardship.

Released in June 1999, this track was issued as TUBE’s 29th single.

Its fresh sound, blending surf rock and pop, truly evokes the arrival of summer.

It also has a romantic vibe that makes you want to listen while strolling along the beach with your partner.

Highly recommended as a song to color the time you spend with someone special, feeling a pleasant breeze in the heat of the season.

I ended up alone.TUBE

This song was written by vocalist Maeda after being shocked at a class reunion to find that his former classmates had no dreams.

While it’s basically crafted as pop rock, it turned into a nostalgic rock number that asserts the loneliness of being on one’s own.

Released in May 2001, this is a hidden hit by TUBE that reached No.

4 on the weekly Oricon chart.

It’s also a familiar number thanks to its tie-in as the theme song for Fuji TV’s popular morning show, Mezamashi TV.

Touch Happy!TUBE

This is one of TUBE’s feel-good songs released in August 2011.

It was tied in as the main theme for Kyoraku’s “CR Bikkuri Pachinko Proposal Daisakusen: Ano Ko no Heart mo Kyuin 2,” making it a popular track among pachinko fans.

Created as a collaboration with Mezamashi TV, this sweet love song captures the feeling that romance is about to begin.

The scenes described in the lyrics have a nostalgic touch that evokes a bittersweet mood.

The protagonist realizing they’re in love also comes across as endearing.
