Chaos reaches its peakUNISON SQUARE GARDEN

UNISON SQUARE GARDEN is a band that enjoys immense popularity in the anisong scene.
If you like anime, you’ve probably heard their songs at least once.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend as a challenging piece is “Chaos ga Kiwamaru” (“Chaos Reaches Its Peak”).
This song covers a wide vocal range from mid1E to hiC, and, true to UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s style, features intense pitch shifts up and down.
Except for the part at the end of the chorus, most of it is built around high tones, making it a demanding song in terms of vocal stamina.
Proof of Eternal AbsenceToukyou Jihen

Tokyo Jihen’s “The Eternal Proof of Absence” is quite difficult for women to sing because the low E is hard to hit.
The intro uses a lot of chromatic movement, making accurate pitch-taking tricky, and the rest of the song also features unusual intervals, so you’ll likely need plenty of practice to make it through without going off pitch.
You’re especially prone to pitch mistakes in the modulation sections, so it may help to listen closely to the backing track.
It’s a very challenging song, so if you can pull it off coolly, you’ll definitely stand out at karaoke!
Blueberry Nightsmakaroni enpitsu

Blueberry Nights by the popular rock band Macaroni Enpitsu.
This song is tough to sing because of the high notes in the chorus.
The chorus tone has a slightly raspy quality, similar to Kazutoshi Sakurai from Mr.
Children, and it may take quite a bit of practice to capture that vibe.
Also, right before the final chorus there’s a part where the main melody drops an octave, so you’ll need low range as well.
Singing across such a wide range with just enough edge to avoid sounding hoarse seems pretty challenging until you get the hang of it.
Mikan HeartC&K

C&K’s “Mikan Heart,” a duet by two male vocalists, is a song that’s hard to replicate in the original vibe.
What really stands out is the tone of CLIEVY, the member who handles the high notes.
His voice is almost feminine, and it seems quite difficult for most men to reproduce that quality.
Because so few people can produce that kind of tone, men who naturally have a light, thin voice should definitely give this song a try.
Also, splitting the parts between a man and a woman is a great idea!
Synchrome (with suis from Yorushika)TK from RIN TO SHITE SIGURE

When you think of TK from Ling tosite sigure, he’s known for that ultra-distinctive high-tone voice you can recognize in an instant.
Released in April 2025, Synchrome is another new masterpiece where TK’s intense high notes explode, blending a driving sense of speed with both beauty and aggression.
Even though it’s a male-female duet featuring YORUSHIKA’s suis as a guest, it’s amazing that the male melody sits in practically the same range as the female’s.
Even singers who can hit relatively high notes will find this challenging—the melody leaps up and down, and if you mistime your breaths, you’ll quickly be unable to keep singing.
Start by practicing the parts little by little, and work on getting used to the song’s brisk tempo.
