[Challenging Songs with a Wide Vocal Range] S-Rank Difficulty Challenge Tracks (121–130)
Leave the Door OpenSilk Sonic

Silk Sonic is a duo that has gained popularity with a nostalgic sound incorporating the 1970s New Soul genre.
It’s the unit formed by Bruno Mars, who’s hugely popular in Japan as well, together with Anderson .Paak.
Among Silk Sonic’s songs, the one I especially recommend is Leave the Door Open.
It’s a soulful track characterized by its challenging vocal lines and wide vocal range.
Be sure to check it out.
RainSIRUP

SIRUP is a singer-songwriter active in Japan’s current R&B scene.
If you’re into Black music, you’ve probably heard of him.
Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is Rain.
The verses sit in a low register, and when the chorus hits, falsetto comes in.
The vocal line spans a very wide range, making it fair to say the difficulty is truly S‑class.
The fact that it’s an R&B track further adds to the challenge, which is another noteworthy point.
Professionalism feat. HannyaAli

ALI is a band centered on funk and soul whose musicality has earned high praise from hardcore music aficionados.
If you’re into Black music, you’ve probably heard of them.
The track where they collaborate with rapper Hannya is “Professionalism feat.
Hannya.” While the range isn’t extremely wide, the repeated use of falsetto makes it more challenging than it sounds.
If you want it to come across well, try singing the mid-range with rich overtones.
FANTASTIC BABYBIGBANG

BIGBANG is a K-POP idol group that gained popularity in the 2010s.
If you’re in your late twenties now, chances are you’ve heard their songs at least once.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend is FANTASTIC BABY.
Since it’s performed by five members, the vocal range covered is extremely wide.
Plus, the song assumes a powerful singing style, so a high level of vocal skill is required.
It’s fair to say this track boasts S-tier difficulty without a doubt.
SOUVENIRBUMP OF CHICKEN

SOUVENIR is a song about racing down the road to someone you cherish.
It’s a 2022 digital release by the rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN, known for tracks like Tentai Kansoku.
It was chosen as the opening theme for the second cour of the popular anime SPY×FAMILY.
The band’s style pairs perfectly with the upbeat tempo—there’s a sense of speed, yet the gentle rhythm feels comfortable and lifts your mood when you sing it.
Since much of the melody sits at or below mid1 E, it’s especially recommended for men with lower voices, though there are falsetto sections too, so it’s worth practicing thoroughly.
For the chorus, while keeping in mind where to break phrases, try singing with an overall flowing feel to enhance the atmosphere.
