A Christmas tree made with paper cutouts

Paper cutouts are so much fun! Here’s how to make a Christmas tree wall display.
The materials are: templates for a folded-in-half construction paper Christmas tree and ornaments, glue, crayons, and paint.
First, cut out the Christmas tree.
Be sure to prepare construction paper that’s been folded in half with cut lines drawn in advance.
Cut out the ornament templates in the same way, and paint patterns on them.
Next, draw decorations on the Christmas tree with crayons, and finally glue on the ornaments to finish! You can also get creative with round stickers, pipe cleaners, and more to make your own original tree.

Perfect for wall decorations too! A perfectly round snowman.

Let’s make a cute, perfectly round snowman using paper plates and paper cups.
Cut off a few centimeters from the bottom of a paper cup.
Glue the cut paper cup to the center of a paper plate.
Cut a circle out of white construction paper, draw the snowman’s face on it, and glue it onto the paper cup.
Finish by adding the snowman’s arms made from pipe cleaners and decorating with round stickers on the paper plate.
You’ll have a round, adorable, three-dimensional snowman that also looks great as a wall decoration.

A wall decoration of a yosenabe (Japanese hot pot)

When the weather turns cold in winter, you start craving a warm hot pot, don’t you? Here’s a wall decoration inspired by that very hot pot.
First, we’ll make the ingredients to go into the pot.
Combine various colors to create a realistic look, from classic staples to delightful additions you’ll be happy to find.
Next, make the base pot and fill it with the ingredients you just made.
Arranging extra ingredients around the pot helps convey the hot pot’s festive feel and a cozy, happy atmosphere.
Snowflakes made with origami

Let’s make a fluffy, cute snowflake out of origami.
Although the finished piece looks very intricate and difficult, it’s surprisingly easy to make, so it’s a great craft for children old enough to use scissors.
Make six cuts in the origami paper, first sharpen the tip and glue it, then skip one section at a time, roll it, and glue each part together.
Flip the remaining sections to the back and glue them on the opposite side.
Make six identical pieces, then glue them together at the edges with the ends meeting in the center to finish.
If you use small origami paper, it makes a perfect ornament.
Penguin wall decoration made from paper plates

Here’s an idea for a penguin wall decoration using an everyday material: paper plates.
You can make the penguins by cutting colored construction paper, or even use children’s footprints—they’re adorable either way! Get creative and craft penguins full of personality.
Once your penguins are ready, attach them to the paper plates and add decorations.
You can punch holes directly in the plates with a craft punch to make patterns, add stickers, or enjoy drawing on them—highly recommended! Thread a chenille stem (pipe cleaner) through the top, and it transforms into a wall decoration.
It’s sure to brighten up your space for the winter season.
Snowman made with paint and origami
Here’s an idea for a snowman wall decoration you can make with children.
It’s easy to try using familiar materials like paint and origami paper, so please use it as inspiration for your winter crafts! First, draw the shape of a snowman on construction paper with crayons.
After painting it, attach a hat and mittens made from origami paper.
Adjust the number of steps according to the children’s ages.
By displaying these unique, personality-filled snowmen around the facility, everyone can enjoy a warm, cheerful atmosphere even during the cold season.
oden (Japanese simmered hot pot dish)

Let’s make a fun oden using colorful paper! Prepare colored construction paper, glue and scissors, pastel crayons, colored pens, and so on.
Draw your favorite oden ingredients on the paper, then cut them out with scissors.
Apply glue to the back and stick them into a paper pot—your delicious-looking oden is done! Adding patterns at the end with crayons or pastel crayons is also recommended to make it look more vibrant.
If you hang it on the wall, it’ll give your room a warm, cozy feel.
Try making it while playing together with the kids—decide what ingredients to include and how to arrange them.
