A collection of Western songs with titles that start with numbers

In this article, I’ll be introducing classic Western songs whose titles begin with numbers.

When it comes to number-starting titles, some consist of numbers only, while others have words following the numbers.

If you’re knowledgeable about Western music, you might already have a few songs in mind.

That said, we don’t often search for songs by categories like “titles that start with XX,” so this could be a great chance to discover wonderful tracks you didn’t know before.

Take this opportunity to listen to a variety of songs!

2.3.4Mad sin

If you’re going to listen to psychobilly, this is the place you should start.

A band from Germany that’s less about being cool and more about being wild.

What’s surprising is that they used to be a psychobilly band with a singing drummer.

The sight of them singing while playing a standing drum is incredibly cool.

It’s a psychobilly tune bursting with raw individuality.

20th Century Fox FanfareQueen

This is a track produced to be included as the first song on the original soundtrack of the 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody.

The iconic 20th Century Fox fanfare is luxuriously recreated with Brian’s guitar sound.

20 Msec.Ryuichi Sakamoto

An ambient electronica track composed by our very own Professor Sakamoto.

The unstable noises sprinkled here and there within the beautiful, airy melodies so characteristic of Sakamoto feel delightful.

It’s curious how, despite being almost all single notes, every sound comes together as one.

91 FlexSerious Klein

Rapper Serious Klein, who is based in Germany.

Influenced by soul, funk, and trap, he describes his own sound as “Art Rap.” Be sure to check out this video where he’s dressed head-to-toe in red.

He says “Ninety-one, flexin’,” but it amusingly sounds like “Naniwa~flexin’” in Japanese.

A track by the American funk band Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings from their self-titled album released in 2007.

The song, which incorporates elements of 1960s funk and Afrobeat, was used in a commercial for Fitbit, an American fitness device company.

Suchmos has an ultra-stylish, urban sound.

This release is a dance track with a silky, gliding bassline that feels great.

It’s also tied in with a Honda commercial, and the vibe of the song is perfect for a drive, isn’t it? After one listen, you might find yourself itching to get behind the wheel.

Just be mindful of your speed when you’re driving!

99TOTO

Included on Toto’s second album, Hydra.

Released in 1979.

This work is modeled after George Lucas’s 1971 sci-fi film THX 1138, eight years prior to its release, and its seemingly bland title takes on a deeper meaning through the film.
