1979The Smashing Pumpkins

Formed in Chicago in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins led the 1990s scene with a distinctive sound that fused alternative rock with genres like heavy metal and psychedelia.
Following their 1991 debut album Gish, they achieved commercial success with 1993’s Siamese Dream, and their 1995 masterpiece Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness became a global hit, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.
In 1997, they won a Grammy for “Bullet with Butterfly Wings.” Centered around Billy Corgan, the band has reunited multiple times since their 2000 breakup and remains highly active, releasing the new album Aghori Mhori Mei in 2024.
In 2025, with original members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin on board, they embarked on a long-awaited Japan tour—including a stop at the Nippon Budokan—that electrified both longtime fans and a new generation, leaving a vivid impression.
20th Century BoyT-REX

With its fiercely distorted guitar riff that makes your body move before you know it, this is a signature track by the British glam rock band T.
Rex.
Released as a single in March 1973, it initially didn’t appear on an album yet still reached No.
3 on the UK chart.
Marc Bolan’s confident vocals—almost as if declaring himself the darling of the era—paired with the rough yet catchy sound are irresistibly cool.
The song is also known for being used in a Levi’s commercial in 1991 and for influencing the title of the popular manga “20th Century Boys.” It’s the kind of track that gives you a firm shove forward when you’re facing a big wall, saying, “Your power is far greater than that.”
18 Till I DieBryan Adams

This is the title track from the album “18 til I Die,” released in 1996.
The album cover is very striking; I remember seeing posters around town back then of Bryan sitting while playing the guitar.
It’s still popular today, so I highly recommend it.
8th | Uptown Funk ft. Bruno MarsMark Ronson

Mark Ronson, who continually builds new sonic worlds rooted in Black music.
Since the 2000s, he had been active as a producer and composer for artists like Amy Winehouse and Christina Aguilera, but the track that propelled his name to global fame was Uptown Funk, featuring Bruno Mars.
2005South Arcade

A rising star of pop punk born in Oxford, UK.
The four-piece band South Arcade has been turning heads since forming in 2021 with a fresh sound that revives the diverse musical styles of the 2000s for today.
They made their debut in 2023 and, in just one year, achieved the milestone of surpassing one million streams on Spotify.
Influenced by Pale Waves and Bring Me The Horizon, their music strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia and novelty.
Their rehearsal clips on Instagram and TikTok have generated buzz, and in November 2024 they also appeared on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Live.
With melodious sounds and energetic live performances, they shine as one of the most promising acts on the UK music scene.
Highly recommended for fans of pop punk and alternative rock.
200,000The Rocket Summer

The Rocket Summer is a solo project by Bryce Avary, active since 1999 and based in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas.
He was selected by AP Magazine as one of the “100 Bands You Need to Know.” This track is included on the 2012 album Life Will Write the Words.
20 MaticMasicka

Bursting onto Jamaica’s dancehall scene like a comet, Masicka—known as “The Future”—stands at the forefront of the new generation.
His appeal lies above all in razor-sharp lyrics that capture the realities of the streets and a rapid-fire flow that hits like a bullet.
And then, just when you least expect it, his melodic vocals grab you by the heart.
After his debut album 438 dominated the Jamaican charts, his momentum only grew; with Generation of Kings, released under a global label, he proved his talent to the world.
Fusing the heat of the streets with a refined sonic palette, his music truly defines dancehall’s new era.
Prepare to be overwhelmed by the raw power of the next-generation king’s words!
