[Y!mobile Commercials] Popular and Historical Commercials Summary [2026] (51–60)
Y!mobile basic plan under 1,000 yen! ‘Hajime-chan Makes an Appearance’ EditionMana Ashida, Tetsurō Degawa, Kazuya Kojima

This is the well-known Y!mobile commercial “Y!mobile’s basic fee is under 1,000 yen! Hajime-chan Appears,” featuring Tetsurō Degawa as Papa Bakabon and the very cute Mana Ashida as Bakabon.
Speaking of Bakabon, you can’t forget Hajime-chan, Bakabon’s little brother who’s a baby yet a genius.
As they talk about Y!mobile’s basic fee being under 1,000 yen, in comes Hajime-chan to add that unused data can be rolled over.
Hajime-chan is played by Koji Kojima of the comedy duo UNJASH, and as always, his sharp “tsukkomi” retorts shine in the commercial (lol).
Easy Smartphone 2 “One Easy Smartphone, please” versionMana Ashida, Tomio Umezawa, Futenyan

This is a commercial for the “Kantan Smartphone 2,” available from Y!mobile.
Mana Ashida plays a store clerk who persuades customers aged 60 and over to buy the “Kantan Smartphone 2,” with Tomio Umezawa giving a great performance as one such customer.
Futenyan, who teasingly throws the line “It’s easy” at Umezawa—who’s all too easily swayed—is absolutely adorable.
Whether it’s SoftBank’s dog who plays the father or Futenyan, animal characters are indeed soothing and have a strong presence, don’t they?
Y!mobile Academy: Parent and Child de DanceTetsurō Degawa, Mana Ashida, Ryusei Yokohama, Matt, Masumi Kuwata

Here is the Y!mobile commercial where a parent and child dance to a parody of “Y.M.C.A.,” the song made a hit by the Village People in 1978 and later became a huge craze in Japan through Hideki Saijo’s cover.
It’s heartwarming as it marks the first co-appearance of Masumi Kuwata and his son Matt.
The ad is packed with content, also featuring the Nohara family from Crayon Shin-chan and the Futenyan parent-and-child duo.
Y!mobile commercials often have an “everything on top” feel with tons of elements, but they’re satisfying and fun to watch.
Giga Boost: “New Mermaid Princess” EditionRiho Yoshioka, Eita, Fute-Nyan

Here is the Y!mobile commercial in which Riho Yoshioka plays a mermaid.
It aired in 2018.
The story begins with a fisherman played by Eita accidentally catching Yoshioka in his net, and Y!mobile’s selling points are sprinkled throughout like subliminal messages, making it a fun ad that leaves you wanting to sign up for Y!mobile by the end.
Non-human characters like Futenyan and an anglerfish are also memorable, and the storyline is very entertaining.
The background music uses “I Will Always Love You,” the theme song from the movie The Bodyguard.

Giga Boost: ‘Shouting Y at the Center of the World’ VersionRiho Yoshioka, Eita, Fute-Nyan

“Scream Y at the center of the world”… It sounds kind of familiar, kind of not.
It’s a commercial featuring actor Eita playing a film director and actress Riho Yoshioka playing an actress as herself.
Eita tells her, “Go ahead and scream Y,” and “Also, give me a giga-mori, please,” leaving Riho Yoshioka looking bewildered.
After watching the footage they shot, Eita says, “That was wonderful.” Then Futenyan cuts in with a snarky, “Wonderful how?!”
