The star is Tetsurō Degawa.
It uses curling—an Olympic sport that became a hot topic and sparked a huge boom across Japan—as its theme.
On top of the stone is Y!mobile’s mascot character, Futenyan.
Tetsurō Degawa keeps pushing it along.
They leave the arena, zip through the city, and arrive at a Y!mobile shop.
There, they receive Futenyan Baby Star snacks.
The direction is so quirky it just makes you laugh.

This commercial features the hugely popular actor Takumi Saitoh, comedian Tetsuro Degawa, TV personality Nana Suzuki, and former pro wrestler Genichiro Tenryu.
Each of them attempts a tongue twister related to KitKat, but everyone except Takumi Saitoh completely fumbles it.
Genichiro Tenryu, known for his gravelly voice, is especially hard to understand—you can’t make out a thing he’s saying, which makes it pretty funny.

This commercial released in 2017 features popular actress Mirei Kiritani, actor Takumi Saito, and comedian Tetsuro Degawa.
It promotes the then-newly launched Android One.
The word “One” is apparently a play on the Japanese onomatopoeia for a dog’s bark, “wan,” and Mirei Kiritani wears a headband with dog ears, which is very cute.

This commercial features Mana Ashida as Bakabon from The Genius Bakabon, Tetsurō Degawa as Bakabon’s Papa, and Ryusei Yokohama playing a student in a school uniform.
They sing and dance to a parody version of The Genius Bakabon theme song.
Nyarome, a recurring character from Fujio Akatsuka’s manga, also appears in a school uniform, making it an adorable ad.
The signature gag “Shee!” by the character Iyami from Akatsuka’s works is used as well.
The choreography is by Lucky Ikeda.

This is the Y!mobile commercial “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time” featuring Mana Ashida.
The CM song is, of course, Tomoyo Harada’s “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,” released in 1983.
It’s a documentary-style ad where a reporter confronts Mana Ashida—about whom there are hushed rumors that she’s actually older than her years due to her composure—asking, “Aren’t you actually 60 years old?” It’s incredibly rude, but calling a teenage girl 60 is such a huge leap that you can’t help but laugh.
