Mei Nagano and Haruna Kondo of Harisenbon star in Eye City’s new contact lens commercial: “A Safe Debut for Parents and Children.”

Mei Nagano, dressed as an Eye City store clerk, tries to assist Haruna Kondo from Harisenbon, who has come in as a customer.

But it turns out the one who actually wants to buy contact lenses is her child.

The child looks just like Haruna Kondo, and Mei Nagano’s surprised reaction is adorably cute.

Money Doctor: “That person…” version / “Telekinesis…” versionSuzu Hirose

This memorable, humor-filled spot is a commercial for Money Doctor.

In the “That Person…” version, Suzu Hirose plays a scene where she reunites with her first love, who has turned into a dog, and in the “Telekinesis…” version, she portrays suddenly gaining telekinetic powers.

Although these setups aren’t related to the company’s actual services—letting you consult a financial planner about money—that’s precisely why the ads are so impactful and entertaining.

Once you see them, they stick in your memory.

Koikeya Scone “The Return of Dance-cone” commercial featuring Kento Nakajima

It’s a commercial introducing Koikeya Scone, and the storyline is incredibly memorable! Kento Nakajima plays a man who once thrived as an idol but now grills corn at a food stall, and former fans urge him, “Dance with us one more time!” Near the end of the commercial, he shows off razor-sharp moves to the music, and the striking twist is impossible to forget once you’ve seen it.

The members of SUPER EIGHT appear in a commercial for Daiichikosho’s Karaoke DAM.

The ad features them repeatedly saying, “For 〇〇, it’s gotta be DAM!” as they suggest different situations where DAM is recommended, and their obvious enjoyment leaves a strong impression.

At the end, instead of saying “It’s DAM!” they deliver punch lines like “It’s Babu!” and “It’s Tough!”—a neat payoff that showcases their signature humor.

The lively commercial is set to their track ‘Buchi★I GOT IT,’ a party tune set for release in April 2025 that will boost your mood the moment you hear it.

Higashi-Niigata Driving School

[1080p 60fps] Higashi-Niigata Driving School Commercial (Aug 2018)

This is a commercial that helped spread the name of Higashi-Niigata Driving School, a driving school located in the Higashi Ward of Niigata City.

The footage evokes the 1980s, featuring a dial-type television and a woman with a Seiko-chan haircut, while describing the facilities of Higashi-Niigata Driving School.

Although the message is a straightforward promotional pitch, it drew attention because it aired for a long time.

It portrays a user-friendly approach, but because everything looks so different from today, the visuals end up eliciting a chuckle.

Budgies’ Shizuoka Newspaper: 30-second version (budgies’ news service of the Shizuoka Newspaper in 2030)

This is a Shizuoka Shimbun commercial that aired around 2009.

It’s a humorous ad introducing a fictional service where a parrot reads out the day’s news every morning.

In the commercial, it’s presented as scheduled to start in 2030, but apparently a smartphone app actually came out in 2015.

Open House My Home Man Open House Shopping “INNOVAS” Version / “Remote Work Room” Version / “Kids’ Room” VersionMasato Sakai, Ryuji Akiyama

With the energy of a TV shopping segment, he showcases Open House’s wide selection of properties.

Masato Sakai reacts to the voice he hears, but the fight is still ongoing—an amusing twist that leaves a strong impression.
