sweet potato

This sweet potato origami is so realistic it might make you want to eat it! Prepare purple and yellow origami paper to recreate the skin and the flesh.
As you fold, it might spark conversations like, “What color is a sweet potato again?” Follow the video tutorial and fold slowly and carefully—before you know it, you’ll have a splendid sweet potato.
Display it in your room and enjoy an autumn vibe.
Through sweet potato origami, kids might even develop an interest in the tastes of fall.
owl

This is an owl that lets you enjoy autumn colors like brown and yellow.
You only need one sheet of origami, and it’s nice that you can simply draw the eyes and patterns with a pen at the end.
First, align the diagonal corners to make a crease.
Next, fold the bottom corner to the center, then fold along the creases.
Fold the top corner down to match the color boundary.
Turn it over and fold the bottom of both sides along the creases.
Fold the top edges down, leaving a small gap from the center.
Pull the two top corners down to fold them, then fold back the upper part to make the ears.
After that, adjust the shape to look like an owl.
The perked-up ears and big round eyes are so cute!
Chestnut gathering with an original basket
This is a craft project to make in-season autumn chestnuts and a chestnut-gathering basket using construction paper and origami! Cut a piece of construction paper into a half circle to form the base of the basket, and have teachers pre-cut vertical slits.
Then weave thin strips of origami paper up and down through the slits to create a basket-like finish.
Decorate a backing sheet or wall with the origami chestnuts and the basket for a piece full of autumn vibes! You can adapt the basket idea for other seasons by changing the materials and colors, so be sure to give it a try.
Full Moon Rabbit

Here’s a way to make a full moon and a rabbit from a single sheet of origami paper.
Start with yellow origami paper, color side facing in, and begin with the double-layer boat base, stopping when only one side is folded into a boat.
Fold the left and right corners of the boat section upward, leaving a small gap at the center line.
Next, fold the left and right corners diagonally inward, then tuck in the top corner to shape the rabbit’s ears.
Use scissors to make slits on the top layer on both sides; then make small cuts at the lower part of the rabbit so the bottom becomes rectangular, and continue folding to refine the shape of the rabbit’s face.
Fold the rabbit so it sits on top of the yellow paper.
For the yellow moon, tuck in the corners to round it into a circle, and you’re done! Feel free to draw the face as you like.
