Kansai-born Bands, Artists, and Singers (281–290)
Yoko of the Port, Yokohama, YokosukaDaun Taun Bugiugi Bando

Ryudo Uzaki of the Down Town Boogie Woogie Band is also from Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.
And speaking of the Down Town Boogie Woogie Band, it has to be “Minato no Yoko, Yokohama, Yokosuka”! In 1997, it was used as the theme song for a commercial for Fujifilm’s disposable camera ‘Utsurundesu,’ bringing the song back into the spotlight.
Sentimental Rockin’ SlumberDoremi-dan

Makoto, who handled vocals and accordion for the visual kei band Doremidan, is from Nara Prefecture.
Doremidan disbanded in 2012, and their 14th single, “Sentimental Rockin’ Slumber,” was their final single.
Lovestruck Golden Peach PieNagāru

The members of Nagarl, an idol group active mainly in the Naga area of Wakayama Prefecture, are from Wakayama.
They primarily work to promote the charms of Wakayama Prefecture.
They have released their first single, “Koisuru Kin no Peach Pie” (Golden Peach Pie in Love).
The lyrics of this song include various spots within Wakayama Prefecture.
Kansai-born bands, artists, and singers (291–300)
piko

Piko, who is active as a singer, is from Himeji City in Hyogo Prefecture.
The song in the video, Sakura Ne, released as the third single, was used as the ending theme for the TV anime Gintama (Yorinuki Gintama-san).
With this track, he made his first entry into the top 10 of the Oricon Singles Chart.
triangleFurasukotēshon

Frascotation is a three-piece guitar rock band from Hyogo Prefecture.
They formed in 2017, centered around Mami Sato, who was then a senior in high school.
The emotions packed into their refreshing songs have won passionate support from people of the same generation.
They’re one of the standout bands to watch going forward.
Be sure to check out their first EP, “Hakan Shingekika,” released in 2018.
pepettāzu

Pepetters is a three-piece band from Kobe.
Members Nakanishi and Hiromura are from Kobe.
They formed in 2011 and are still active.
For the Chatmonchy tribute album released on March 28, 2018, they won the Grand Prize in the open-call audition for participating artists.
mina

TWICE is a nine-member multinational girl idol group formed in South Korea in 2015, enjoying overwhelming support from younger generations.
Beyond their songs, their dances—starting with the “TT Dance”—have even become social phenomena.
Mina, whose full name is Mina Myoi, was born in 1997 and is from Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.
Her specialty is ballet, and her nickname is Black Swan.
She is TWICE’s main dancer.
