This is a playlist of artists from the Kanto region.
I don’t think artists from the Greater Tokyo area are usually conscious of their birthplace, but there are cases where you assume a band is from Kansai, only to find out the members are actually from Kanto and came to Kansai for university.
There were also some surprising cases where people turned out to be from unexpected places.

Bands, artists, and singers from the Kanto region (71–80)
Embraced by the wintry windKoizumi Kyoko

Kyoko Koizumi is from Atsugi City in Kanagawa Prefecture.
This song, “Embraced by the Cold Wind,” was written and composed by Toshihiko Takamizawa of THE ALFEE.
It’s a really great song, isn’t it? THE ALFEE also did a self-cover, but it’s been arranged quite a bit and has become something completely different from Koizumi’s version.
MarionetteBOØWY

Kyosuke Himuro, who was the vocalist of the rock band BOØWY, Tomoyasu Hotei, who played guitar and did backing vocals, and bassist Tsunematsu Matsui are from Takasaki City in Gunma Prefecture.
This song is one of BOØWY’s signature tracks.
It’s a very cool song, and its chorus is very famous and widely known.
Love ABONEWS

Keiichiro Koyama and Yuya Tegoshi, members of NEWS, are from Kanagawa Prefecture, and this dance track was released in 2009 as NEWS’s 11th single.
It was used in the Crimson RUSS-K “T-Fes” commercial and debuted at No.
1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
I don’t want to let go.T-BOLAN

Bassist Hirofumi Ueno is from Tochigi Prefecture.
T-BOLAN reunited with the original members in 2012, but went on hiatus again in 2014.
Among those who grew up with them in real time, their rock ballads are still popular choices at karaoke.
The Dream of Me in a DreamIto Masumi

Masumi Ito is a singer-songwriter from Ibaraki Prefecture who made her CD debut in 1993.
She performs J-pop and anime songs.
She has also composed under the names “Masumi Nitta” and “Hikaru Nanase.” “Yume no Naka no Watashi no Yume” is the sixth single by Masumi Ito, released in 2012.
The world calls it love.Kondō Yōichi (Sanbomasutā)

Yoichi Kondo is a bassist born in 1977 from Shimotsuke City, Tochigi Prefecture.
He graduated from Tochigi Prefectural Ishibashi High School.
He is a member of the three-piece punk rock band Sambomaster, which began activities in 2000.
In 2010, he appeared in the film Solanin, starring Aoi Miyazaki, playing the role of Kenichi Kato.
Paradise BabyRIP SLYME

It’s a summer track by RIP SLYME, the legendary rap group from Fujisawa City in the Shonan area of Kanagawa Prefecture.
The chorus line, “Tropical paradise, baby — coconuts and sunshine crazy,” is catchy and easy to remember.
Let this song turn your summer into a paradise, baby.
