A bittersweet love song perfect for long autumn nights.

Maiko Fujita’s clear, transparent voice beautifully paints the moonlit scenery and the stirrings of the heart.

Released in August 2024, this piece is included on the album “Color.” Through natural imagery—like the chirping of crickets and the sounds of summer’s end—it captures emotional shifts, resulting in a track that truly resonates.

Recommended for anyone feeling the ache of unrequited love or those who find themselves gazing up at the moon while thinking of someone dear.

Goodbye, Cosmosasagīnyo

Do you ever find yourself identifying with cosmos flowers swaying against the cityscape? This song by Asagi-nyo, a multi-talented creative artist, is a pop tune of self-liberation that gently bids farewell to the impulse to simply go along with those around you.

The neatly blooming white cosmos are likened to a self that used to live by other people’s standards, and the resolve to break free from that is carried by a warm, buoyant melody.

Released in May 2022, the track also served as the theme song for a vlog-style film that Asagi-nyo herself planned and starred in.

It’s a number that, when you feel tempted to compare yourself to others, softly nudges you to walk at your own pace.

the Fourth Avenue CaféL'Arc〜en〜Ciel

This is a song by L’Arc~en~Ciel set on an autumn street corner.

The buoyant horn section is wonderfully vibrant and pairs perfectly with the exhilarating, fast-paced band sound.

Yet, in contrast to its bright tone, the lyrics depict a poignant scene of a couple parting ways.

The worldview that overlays the changing seasons with hearts growing apart is truly heart-wrenching.

The track is included on the album “True” and was used as an ending theme for the TV anime Rurouni Kenshin.

It’s also a fan favorite that took first place in the band’s live “setlist request” poll.

AutumnYabai T-shatsu Yasan

A mixed-gender three-piece rock band, ‘Yabai T-Shirts Yasan,’ brings an energizing autumn song, “Autumn.” I just introduced them as a rock band, but they’re a curious group that also carries hardcore and even comic-band elements—you all know them by now, right? This track “Autumn” leans more toward comical lyrics, bursting with an upbeat vibe driven by the concept of “What comes to mind when you think of autumn?” That said, the intro riff repeats at key moments, and the sound is seriously cool.

Highly recommended not only for guitar kids, but also for anyone who hasn’t heard Yaba-T yet!

Sakanaction’s “Mikazuki Sunset” fits perfectly from autumn dusk into the night.

It’s an early masterpiece from their 2007 album “GO TO THE FUTURE.” Gentle and restrained, yet wrapped in a faintly aching mood.

The lyrics are deep and open to many interpretations, but there’s a tightening feeling as if they hint at a missed connection or an approaching farewell.

It keeps close to our loneliness and the many facets of human relationships, and it really sinks in when you pause to catch your breath.

And that outro—just unbeatable.

Aoi Teshima, with her nostalgic worldview and whispery voice, is truly captivating.

This song, “Soshu Note,” opens her 2016 album The Blue Library and was written especially for her by Tokiko Kato, whom she deeply admires.

As if quietly committing thoughts to a diary, each carefully woven word wraps you in a strange sensation that stirs both gentle warmth and sentimental feeling.

The emotional arc—contrasting a youthful heartbreak with present happiness—is also striking.

Many things change with the passage of time, but perhaps the things that don’t are beautiful in their own way.

It’s a track you’ll want to listen to while swaying on a train.

The Koshu Highway is already in autumn.RC sasekushon

It’s a cool, masculine autumn rock song by Kiyoshiro Imawano.

When something so awful happens that you want to throw everything away, you hit the Koshu Highway and drive—rock ’n’ roll style.

The melancholy scenery, like the fluttering autumn leaves outside the car window, stirs up a sentimental feeling.
