This is a song whose title means “longer than eternity.” Among the tracks on their sixth album, PSYCHOPATH, it was one of the most popular, and the melody of the chorus is especially memorable.

While the lyrics seem to be themed around a marriage proposal, there are also lines here and there that suggest a breakup, making it a song with a slightly complex and striking set of lyrics.

IMAGE DOWNBOØWY

Their signature song from their debut album MORAL, one they’re expected to play at every live show.

In live footage, be sure to also watch bassist Matsui, who—contrasting with Hotei’s flamboyant stage presence—delivers relentless, demon-like down-picking without moving a muscle.

ELITEBOØWY

Included as the fourth track on the debut album “MORAL,” released on March 21, 1982, this is an impactful song that grabs you right away with its guitar riff and opening lyrics.

I’m sure any guitar kid would want to copy those phrases!

GIVE IT TO ME (LIVE VERSION)BOØWY

Originally, it was a song included on the first album, “MORAL,” and this version was included as the B-side of the single “Wagamama Juliet.” The arrangement was significantly changed, and this version reportedly became a live staple and was popular with fans.

DANCING IN THE PLEASURE LANDBOØWY

Released in 1986, it’s included on BOØWY’s fourth album.

At the time, music magazines said it shed their previous funk beat and felt like the beginning of a new BOØWY.

As the unique title suggests, the song features a somewhat resort-like chorus that makes it fun to listen to.

The rhythm is great—so exhilarating it makes you want to air-drum without thinking.

PLASTIC BOMBBOØWY

As the chilling title suggests, this is an adrenaline-charged song that drives straight to the chorus in one unstoppable rush.

At live shows, the entire audience shouts “Let’s go!” in unison, rallying together to lift the band.

Its brevity—beginning and ending like a storm—perfectly complements the song’s appeal.

NO NEW YORKBOØWY

As one of their early signature songs, this track is unique in how it weaves in the unsettling phrase “tearing off flowers,” evoking the carefree audacity typical of a beautiful woman and a worldview that seems to mock the fate of the men ensnared by it.

It’s a long‑lived masterpiece that ultimately came to symbolize the band to the very end.
