If there’s a large playground structure, how about playing tag there? Playing tag with obstacles is a bit different from the usual kind.

Make full use of your physical abilities.

However, since injuries can be dangerous, wearing a helmet and pads is essential.

Canyoning is traveling downstream using only your body.

Slide down natural rock formations like a waterslide, jump into plunge pools, and experience nature with your whole body.

There are facilities nationwide with guides, so be sure to look them up.

A great game for large-group camping is long rope jumping! It’s a classic at kids’ clubs and school camps.

After all, when you’re at camp, you want to get moving outdoors, right? There are many variations on how to play, so choose one that suits the participants’ ages and group size, and give it a try.

Without Katakana

Simple and fun! A class-energizing activity: “Katakana-less”
Without Katakana

In everyday life, we often use words written in katakana.

Here, we’d like to introduce “Katakana-ashi,” a game where you explain a given topic without using katakana.

For example, you show a ball used in P.E.

and ask, “What is this?” The answer will likely be “ball.” Next, have them describe the ball without using any katakana.

Children will likely search for answers by thinking of various words in their heads.

Try switching the roles of questioner and answerer and give it a go.

OK Play is a board game where you can enjoy a five-in-a-row challenge.

The rules are very simple: the first player to line up five of their tiles vertically, horizontally, or diagonally wins.

The tiles have stylish colors, and the set packs up compactly, so you can attach it to your bag like a keychain and carry it around.

It’s perfect for relaxing moments in a tent—why not enjoy it together with everyone? The rules are easy, so you can play with children, and matches between adults can get surprisingly intense!

Rock-Paper-Scissors Train

[Physical Play] It’s a Rock-Paper-Scissors Train!
Rock-Paper-Scissors Train

Janken Train is a game where players play rock-paper-scissors, and the loser lines up behind the winner, with the goal of ultimately forming a long train.

The person at the very front is the winner of Janken Train.

It’s easier to play with music, so it’s a good idea to prepare your preferred audio.

While the music is playing, participants run around as trains; when the music stops, they play rock-paper-scissors with someone nearby.

If you lose, place your hands on the winner’s shoulders and join their train.

It’s a fun game that anyone can join, from children to adults.

Ogostic

Ogiyahagi’s Happy Camp: Takeda Barbecue Style Meat Camp Episode 3 [Ogiyahagi] [Takeda Barbecue] [Watari 119] [Naoko Obara]
Ogostic

Ogostick is played using a stick that looks like a deer’s antler and a hemp ball.

Hook the stick onto the ball’s weave to toss it back and forth, and try to catch it skillfully.

It can be tricky to throw at first, but once you get used to it, it’s easy and fun.

When you throw, think about tossing upward rather than forward.

If you’re looking for a different kind of game to play while camping, try Ogostick for a fresh, new experience.
