Play with balloons! Birthday partyNEW!

After asking the children, “What’s everyone’s favorite color?”, we blow up balloons in the colors they mention and play with them.
We draw pictures on the balloons that match each color, and then sing songs related to those pictures.
For example, for a green balloon, draw a frog and sing “Kaeru no Gasshō” (The Frog Chorus).
It’s a fun game where you can look forward to which illustrations will appear and which songs you’ll sing based on the balloon colors.
If you do this at a birthday party, a cake illustration is, of course, a must.
Quiz for the Teacher
How about a “guess the teacher” game, where someone appears with their face and body hidden and the children have to figure out who it is? Even though they see you every day, once your face and body are covered and you stay silent, it’s surprisingly hard for them to tell.
Give them hints little by little and let them work their way to the answer.
The kids who spend time with you every day might notice gestures or a certain vibe that only they would recognize.
Thinking about it that way, it might actually feel nice if they manage to guess.
It’s a performance that’s fun for adults too, and helps you understand things from a child’s point of view.
tambourine performance

“Playing the tambourine”—when you elevate that into the realm of performance, you get tambourine artistry.
That might sound a bit stiff and formal, but in reality it’s a super fun act.
Put simply, it’s a straightforward routine where you mix hitting and shaking while dancing.
I think anyone can give it a try.
Pick songs that are as trendy as possible, and wow the audience with big, easy-to-understand moves.
If you’ve got the bandwidth, you could even practice world-class techniques like Gonzo’s.
Anime song music appreciation

If you perform live versions of anime songs that kids love and say, “Do you know this song?”, that alone makes a great act! The key is using real instruments.
Children might have chances to touch a piano or keyboard in their everyday time at the preschool.
But other instruments—like the double bass in the video, for example—are things they rarely get to see.
Letting them experience such unusual items and sounds they’ve never heard should have a positive impact on them.
Try reaching out to local bands or acquaintances.
Illusion Dance

A performance that takes line dancing a step further is the illusion dance.
Like a line dance, several people stand side by side and dance, but by alternating the costumes of neighbors, the performance becomes visually confusing.
It’s fascinating how such a simple trick can make it hard for the eye to keep up.
Choose trendy songs or kid-friendly anime themes to energize the venue! The key to making it enjoyable is sharp, well-synchronized moves, so be sure to practice thoroughly!
