Getting presents is exciting, of course, but the sparkling trees and lights, and the reindeer and Santa Claus that create a thrilling atmosphere are also part of the fun.

Let’s make a tree using natural materials like acorns and fallen leaves! You can turn collecting the materials into a childcare activity by picking them up during a walk or outdoor play.

Be sure to prevent bugs by thoroughly drying or boiling the collected items.

Once the materials are ready, simply glue them onto a triangular piece of cardboard.

To give it a Christmas feel, it’s a good idea to prepare red berries and star motifs as well.

If you use transparent origami paper, you can enjoy the translucent look—it’s super cute! First, fold construction paper into an accordion, sketch the shape of the tree, and cut it with scissors to create the base.

Sketch the tree shape onto a clear file and stick on small pieces of transparent origami paper.

After trimming around the edges, glue it to the construction paper tree and attach it to the base to finish! Here’s a handy idea for a hat with an adjustable chin strap.

First, use construction paper or similar materials to make a Christmas-themed hat.

A classic Santa Claus–colored hat works, or you could model it after a Christmas tree for a cute finish.

Once it’s done, attach the strings.

This is a Christmas tree made by repurposing empty jelly cups.

Why not try making a handmade, palm-sized Christmas tree that you can carry around? Fill the cup with cut pieces of yarn, then secure around the rim with glue and add a construction-paper lid.
