Daihatsu Commercials Roundup: Attractive Cast and BGM Too! (21–30)
Daihatsu TANTO FUNCROSS “Open Up a New Era of Outdoor” Version

In the Tanto FunCross commercial “Open, A New Era of the Outdoors,” a pop-sounding tune is used.
It’s an original song created for the ad.
If you listen closely, you’ll notice the lyrics are mainly composed of onomatopoeia, sung by multiple male and female vocalists.
The rhythm of their singing is striking as well.
There’s also a subtle melody running through it, with handclaps and sounds reminiscent of anime sound effects sampled in.
These elements also help create a fun, lively atmosphere.
Daihatsu Taft “Extraordinary Every Day” Edition

The song “groove on!”, which started airing in the TAFT commercial at the end of November 2021, is a track written specifically for the ad by Awesome City Club, known for their hit “Wasurena.” The clear, expansive vocals and harmonies of atagi and PORIN are a pleasure to hear, making it a truly groovy tune.
As of this writing, it seems the full audio hasn’t been released yet, but it carries that uniquely Awesome, refreshing sound that feels like it would add a splash of color to an enjoyable everyday life.
Daihatsu Commercials Roundup: Cast and BGM Are Captivating Too! (31–40)
Daihatsu Taft “Prologue” Version

The commercial for Daihatsu’s kei car Taft, released in June 2020, features Michael Kaneko’s cover of “Radio Taiso no Uta” (The Radio Calisthenics Song).
It’s up-tempo and feels much more pop and cheerful than the original, doesn’t it? The Taft that debuted in 2020 is actually the second generation—the first generation was sold back in 1974 as a Jeep-style passenger vehicle! That one had quite a different vibe from the current Taft.
Meanwhile, the new Taft, with its boxy design and the large glass roof above the driver’s seat that hints at the dawn of a new kind of automobile, pairs perfectly with the lyrics of this song!
Daihatsu Boon “Boon Squad: Umbrella Magic”

Wilson Pickett’s 1966 release “Land of 1000 Dances” has been covered by countless artists around the world.
In this Boon commercial, they use an arranged vocalese version of “Land of 1000 Dances” that repeats the name “Boon”! While keeping the original’s upbeat, groovy vibe, it’s been made even more pop and catchy—an arrangement that perfectly matches the colorful, cute Boon.
The arrangement was done by Hiroaki Yamashita, who has worked on many commercial songs.
Daihatsu Tanto “Sudden Passion! Usability” VersionYo Oizumi

Yo Oizumi appears before a family checking out the Daihatsu Tanto at a dealership and briskly explains what makes it appealing.
Among the car’s strengths, he highlights the especially wide entrance, demonstrating how easy it is to load items and clearly showcasing its comfort.
He also emphasizes the many small ways the car is thoughtfully designed to support users, conveying that sense of reassurance in a light yet straightforward manner.
Oizumi’s warm smile and the family’s surprised expressions are memorable, adding a touch of humor that leaves a strong impression.
Daihatsu Mira e:S “All-in-One! The Mira e:S” Edition

This commercial charmingly conveys the appeal of Daihatsu’s Mira e:S through dogs peeking their faces out.
It introduces three key points—safety features, low price, and fuel efficiency—and with each item that appears, more dogs join in, creating a comedic progression.
The cheerful mood underscores how easy and casual it is to drive.
By pairing the car with cute dogs, it also gives the impression of a compact and adorable vehicle.
Daihatsu Mira e:S “All-in-One! The Mira e:S” Edition

This commercial features the Daihatsu Mira e:S in a uniquely near-futuristic world to highlight its eco-friendly credentials.
A key point is that the current Mira e:S is seen driving through the future, conveying the idea of sustainability that preserves the environment.
While environmental themes sometimes depict desolate landscapes, this spot expresses that a bright future awaits if we act with environmental consideration.
It also emphasizes kindness not only to the planet but to oneself, suggesting the car is easy and comfortable to drive.
