Easy Magic Tricks for Kids (1–10)
Even though you cut a square, a heart appears! Origami magic

It’s a simple yet hard-to-see-through origami magic trick where a heart appears even though you cut out a square.
You fold the origami, make a square cutout with scissors, and when you unfold it, the cutout has changed from a square into a heart.
The trick is just to secretly have another piece of origami pre-cut into a heart and layered in advance.
Once you’ve prepared that, you should be able to pull it off right away.
By the way, you can do the same thing with a star shape instead of a heart.
The magic of corn kernels turning into popcorn

Let me show you a magic trick where corn kernels turn into popcorn inside a paper cup! First, place fully popped popcorn at the bottom of the cup.
Then add the kernels on top, and you’re all set.
As the small, heavy kernels sink downward, it looks as if popcorn has appeared.
When performing, cover the cup so the popcorn doesn’t spill and shake it sideways—that’s the key.
It’s a fun trick that feels like you’ve cooked without using any heat!
Beads Magic

Introducing a bead magic trick where beads in plastic cups are quickly separated.
The secret is to poke a hole in the bottom of one of two plastic cups with a thumbtack, thread two lengths of slightly long fishing line (nylon thread) through the hole, and string beads of the same color onto them to set up the trick.
Tie the lines securely so the beads won’t fall out even if you turn the cup upside down.
Put beads of a different color in the other cup, then mix the beads from the two cups together—but with this trick, you can quickly separate and return the beads to their original matching colors.
It’s a fun magic trick that kids can easily try.

Sticky balloon

Let me introduce a magic trick using balloons that kids love.
Inflate a water balloon and rub it against your hair as you place it on top—mysteriously, the balloon will cling more and more to your hair.
This trick is a science magic that uses static electricity generated by rubbing the balloon on hair.
It’s very simple and suitable even for young children, so have fun and give it a try.
I recommend using small balloons rather than large ones.
A straw passes through the bottom of a paper cup.

Recommended for events like birthday parties.
Here’s a magic trick using a straw and paper cups! First, make a hole in the bottom of a paper cup just big enough for the straw to pass through.
Next, cut a circular hole out of the bottom of another paper cup.
Once you’re prepared, let’s practice right away! The key is to avoid showing the inside when you insert and pull out the straw from the cup.
At the end, show the inside of the cup clearly so everyone can see it has passed through.
Surprise your friends with this trick!
Ayatori Magic

There are classic cat’s cradle figures like the “broom” and the “rubber,” right? Did you know you can actually do magic using cat’s cradle? This trick is simple enough that even kids who don’t usually play cat’s cradle can try it, so give it a practice if you like.
Gather the string into a single loop and overlap the two ends with the right end on top.
Then pinch the right end from underneath with your right hand, and pinch the left end from above with your left hand, and pull.
Mysteriously, the two separate loops at the ends will become linked together.
decoy ship

I’m going to introduce a magic trick with origami: a “deceptive boat” where the part you’re pinching with your fingers doesn’t change, but the shape of the boat does.
First, we’ll make the base of the deceptive boat with origami.
Make sharp creases, and when you open the pyramid-like section, fold it carefully—this is an important part of the trick.
Finally, flip the origami over and fold it diagonally into the shape of a boat to finish.
To perform the trick, have someone pinch the tip of the boat’s sail and close their eyes.
While their eyes are closed, a different person folds the base of the boat.
The part they were pinching—the sail—then transforms into the boat’s base, completing the deceptive boat magic trick.
