Seated Exercises and Workouts (21–30)
Preventing falls with towel exercises

Have fun training! Here are some ideas for preventing falls with towel exercises.
Some of you may already be incorporating exercise into your daily routine.
This time, let’s try simple exercises using a face towel.
Moving your body might help refresh both your mind and body.
All you need is one face towel.
You can try these while seated and relaxed, so it’s easy to go at your own pace without overdoing it.
Give it a try and add it to your routine!
Sing and dance! Ball exercises

This is an exercise where you move a ball to the music, making it a fun way to train your body.
By feeling the bright, uplifting mood of “Tsubasa wo Kudasai,” you become more conscious of making big, expansive movements.
Since the song has a relaxed tempo, being able to apply steady, sustained force to the ball over time is another key point.
Progressing without rushing and checking each movement leads to smoother body mechanics.
If you add choreography that reflects the imagery of the song, you can feel its world even more and make the exercise even more enjoyable.
Throwing-type Recreations (1–10)
Towel ball toss

“Towel Toss” is a seated game played with one towel and a bath bucket.
First, set up a chair and place the bucket in front of you at a short distance.
Roll up the towel and tie it, then throw it toward the bucket.
If someone stands near the bucket to pick up towels that miss, the game will run more smoothly.
Beanbag darts

This is a game where you throw beanbags at a target that awards higher points the closer you get to the center, and compete on the total score after you’ve thrown all the beanbags you have.
Since you throw toward a distant target while seated in a chair, it looks like it can provide exercise for the whole body, not just the arms.
It’s important to have someone check the direction the beanbags are flying, but because the throwing posture can become unstable, it’s also important to have someone nearby to steady the chair.
To help participants enjoy it even more, it’s recommended to adjust elements like the distance between the chair and the target and the number of beanbags.
Fly away, balloon, with my beanbags!

This is a game where you toss beanbags at balloons inside a frame to knock them out of the frame.
Both the balloons and the beanbags are light, so no strength is required! You can certainly play standing, but you can also comfortably play while seated without moving your body too much, so people in any condition can join in and have fun.
Compete to see who can knock the most balloons out!
Beanbag Toss Game

The “Ojami Toss Game” involves throwing beanbags at a beach ball placed in the center to drive it into the opposing team’s territory! The throwing motion, aiming at the target, provides plenty of exercise even while seated.
Even if you gain the upper hand for a moment, the ball quickly comes back due to the opposing team’s attacks, so participants can stay highly engaged and focused while having fun.
Furthermore, setting a time limit helps players concentrate more on the beach ball, making it a satisfying recreation activity even in a short period.
disk hit

Let us introduce Disk Hit, a game you can enjoy using paper plates and paper cups.
Use empty milk or juice cartons as pins and throw paper plates like a flying disc.
Each person throws seven plates, and you compete by the number of pins you knock down.
It’s fun for individuals or groups, and it can be played either sitting or standing, so anyone can join.
Throwing paper plates engages everything from the shoulders to the fingertips, making it a functional exercise while you play.
It’s highly game-like and exciting, so it’s also recommended as a recreation activity for senior care facilities.
