Sanuki ConnectKagawa Prefecture on Sunday, 5/17

Sanuki Connect 2026 is a daytime music and networking party held at the Sanuki Pia Learning Hub (in front of JR Kōzai Station) in Sanuki City, Kagawa Prefecture. In addition to gourmet foods from around the world, live performances, DJs, idols, and comedy, there will be a talk show by entrepreneurs, art exhibitions, and an English camp experience to interact with international guests. Aiming to revitalize the local economy and become the most global festival in Japan, it will be held with free admission on May 17, 2026.

Setouchi International Music FestivalKagawa Prefecture, Sat 9/19–Tue 9/22

Setouchi International Music Festival is a music festival positioned as “Zero Session 2026,” to be held for the first time in September 2026 in the Kagawa–Setouchi area. Transcending the boundaries of classical music, it champions once-in-a-lifetime sounds and encounters born from the convergence of different cultures, genres, and generations. The venues are Sunport Hall Takamatsu and Miki Town Cultural Exchange Plaza. In addition to performances by top-class classical musicians from Japan and abroad, the festival will feature a rich array of programs including vocalists, children’s choir, and handmade instrument workshops.

“Toon Festival 2026 BEAT & EAT in TOON!!” is a free admission music event held in the parking lot of Lespace City/COOLS Mall adjacent to Botchan Theater, as part of the “Art Village Toon Initiative,” which aims to establish Toon City in Ehime Prefecture as a sanctuary for performing arts. Uwajima Hawaiian FestivalEhime Prefecture, Sat 6/6–Sun 6/7

The Uwajima Hawaiian Festival is an event that began in Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture, in 2011—ten years after the Ehime Maru incident—under the theme “For Smiles.” The venue is the Kisaiya Square at the Minato Oasis Uwajima roadside station, featuring stage shows such as hula performances and ukulele music, along with food and drink booths from all over Japan. In 2026, the 13th festival will be held over two days, June 6 and 7.

Nagasaki Prefecture

DEJIMA ExpoMay 2 (Sat) – 6 (Wed) Nagasaki Prefecture

DEJIMA Expo is a Golden Week event held annually by Nagasaki International Television to promote regional exchange and regional revitalization, and in 2016 it was certified as the first project of the Nagasaki City Revitalization Project. The venue is Water and Greenery Park facing Nagasaki Port, where visitors can enjoy sea breezes as a variety of stages and vendor booths spread out. In addition to live music, its hallmark is a lineup that people of all ages can enjoy, including a gourmet festival and activities for children. It will be held in May 2026.
