AOMORI Spring FestivalSunday, 4/26, Aomori Prefecture
The AOMORI Spring Festival is a spring celebration held in the central shopping streets of Aomori City. Centered around Shinmachi-dori and Honcho-dori, the city is enlivened with music and dance, including the operation of large Nebuta floats, Haneto dancers, Yosakoi performances, an opening parade by the Aomori Yamada High School marching band, and Nebuta HIP HOP. In 2026, the festival marks its 19th edition, featuring a special parade commemorating the 400th anniversary of Aomori’s city development, as well as a Tokyo Disney Resort Special Parade. The festival takes place in April.

E Komo Mai Hawaii FestivalWakayama Prefecture, Sun. 4/26
The E Komo Mai Hawaii Festival in Wakayama is the first Hawaiian celebration in the area where visitors can enjoy hula, Hawaiian music, and gourmet food at the Michi-no-Eki Shikinosato Park in Wakayama City. “E komo mai” means “welcome” in Hawaiian, and the festival’s concept is to help people become familiar with Hawaiian culture. Hula, Tahitian dance, and ukulele performances will be showcased on the Shiki Plaza and the front-entrance stages, and there will be kitchen cars and food booths as well. In 2026, the event will be held on April 26.
