List of Family Festivals Nationwide [2026]

This is a free music festival held in a special area of Daisen Park in Sakai, Osaka, where you can enjoy music and dance while experiencing the allure of the UNESCO World Heritage Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group. With support from the City of Sakai, powerful live music and dance performances by artists will unfold, aiming to create a special day where many people can come together. It will be a one-day event on April 19, 2026, and is an easy outing for families and friends.

Hana-Haru Festa is a spring festival held around Aibahama Park to revitalize the central area of Tokushima City. You can enjoy special Awa Odori performances by renowned troupes from across the prefecture and university troupes on the indoor stage at Awagin Hall and the outdoor stage at the Aibahama entrance. The event also features a Kitchen Car Stadium gathering food trucks from within the prefecture, sales of local specialty products, a dance contest, and special live performances. Scheduled for April 2026, it offers a chance to enjoy Tokushima’s food and culture all at once.

This music festival began in 2005 as part of the Japan-Korea Friendship Year commemorative projects and has since been held every spring around Kawasaki Station. Making the most of Kawasaki’s unique character as a place where cultures from across Asia coexist, it features two days of folk music and dance, as well as live concerts by musicians based in Kawasaki. Visitors can get up close to music and instruments they rarely encounter, and the Asian Festa—where foods from various countries can be enjoyed—is held at the same time. The 2026 edition will take place in April.
