Karaoke songs that make it easy to score 100 points [for women]

With the rise of K-pop in recent years, the difficulty level of Japanese music has risen significantly.

In karaoke scoring—where pitch control is paramount, especially because melodies now tend to jump more drastically—there seem to be far fewer songs with which you can realistically aim for a perfect 100.

So this time, we’ve selected easy-to-sing tracks, focusing on recent releases, that you can target for a 100! We’ve also included concrete technique explanations from a vocal coach, so be sure to read through to the end!

Karaoke Songs That Make It Easy to Score 100 [For Women] (41–50)

Ko Shibasaki – Something That Has Form
Things that have formShibasaki Kou

This is Kou Shibasaki’s sixth single overall, released in August 2004.

It was used as the theme song for the TBS drama “Crying Out Love in the Center of the World.” It’s a ballad with a very beautiful melody and a straightforward arrangement, and the vocal range used in the melody is manageable for most average female singers, so I think it’s relatively easy to score 100 at karaoke.

Throughout the song, be mindful to sing with careful vocalization and pronunciation.

Rira Ikuta, the vocalist of YOASOBI.

Lately, she’s been focusing on her solo work as well and releasing hit songs one after another.

Among her songs, the one I especially recommend as being easy to score a perfect 100 on is Humming.

Her tracks often have wide, dramatic pitch shifts, but this one is very simple in that regard.

Plus, it doesn’t go too high in the register, so even those who struggle with falsetto should be able to aim for a perfect score.

Brandy Senki is a girls’ band whose sophisticated musicality has earned them high praise within the industry.

If you’re a woman tuned into stylish music, you’ve probably heard of them.

Among their releases, the one I especially recommend is “27:00.” The structure places the verses (A and B sections) in the lower register and lifts slightly from the chorus, but the melodies in every part are gentle in range, making it easy to stay on pitch.

The chorus doesn’t demand a particularly wide range either, so if you can produce stable mid-to-high notes, you should be able to aim for a high score without trouble.

TouchIwasaki Yoshimi

TouchIwasaki Yoshimi

It’s the opening theme of the anime adaptation of Touch, the hugely popular 1980s manga by Mitsuru Adachi, and the 20th single by singer Yoshimi Iwasaki.

It was released in March 1985.

The song has a slightly wistful mood, but the vocal range it requires isn’t very wide, so I think most women should be able to sing it without range issues.

The way the lyrics fit the melody is very natural and straightforward, which is another reason I recommend it to those aiming for a perfect 100 at karaoke.

Be careful not to let the rhythm feel heavy when you sing.

Also, if you place the voice toward your upper palate, you’ll likely get a bright, clear tone like Iwasaki herself.

Kana Nishino’s 27th CD single, Torisetsu—also the theme song for the film Heroine Disqualified—was released in September 2015.

It’s an adorable song that fills you with a warm, cozy feeling just by listening.

The vocal melody is very easy to remember and hum along to, so it’s definitely one of the top picks when you want to aim for a perfect 100 at karaoke! The beat has a bit of a bounce to it, so make sure to listen closely to the drums in the backing track and sing in a way that keeps your groove from becoming flat.

FairyDAZBEE

DAZBEE | “Fairy” M/V
FairyDAZBEE

DAZBEE is a female singer with a one-of-a-kind, cute vocal timbre.

A Korea-born artist who has delivered numerous masterpieces on the Japanese scene, she’s just dropped another gem: “Fairy.” This track carries a Celtic-inspired essence and maintains a fantastical atmosphere throughout.

While it stays in a higher register, the overall range isn’t particularly wide; most parts are sung in a whispery voice, so if you can handle moderately high notes, it’s a song where you can more easily aim for a perfect score.

Flower of loveaimyon

Aimyon – Flower of Love [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]
Flower of loveaimyon

It’s Aimyon’s 14th single overall, released in June 2023.

It was chosen as the theme song for NHK’s first-half 2023 morning drama series “Ranman.” It’s a gentle song with a pleasantly soothing acoustic guitar sound.

Because it’s such a gentle piece, the vocal melody is also very familiar and easy to remember, so it might be easier to aim for a perfect 100 when singing it at karaoke.

Pay attention to how the falsetto (head voice) is used in the chorus and try singing it with that in mind.
