Sapporo University is a private university established in 1967, with its headquarters at 3-1, Nishioka 3-jo 7-chome, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. The name of the university festival was changed from Bunren Festival to Genten Festival starting in 2024.

Japanese Red Cross Hokkaido College of Nursing is a private university located in Akebono-cho, Kitami, Hokkaido, established in 1999. With the opening of the university, the Red Cross Nursing Schools in Kitami, Asahikawa, and Kushiro were reorganized and integrated. It is a university with only a Faculty of Nursing, operated by the Red Cross. The school festival is called Kandaisai and is held every June.
