Hokkaido

The Hokkaido University Festival is made up of ten faculties and departments each. The Nire-Ryo Festival—where first-year students and student clubs mainly run booths—and the International Food Festival (IFF), where you can enjoy unique dishes from various countries prepared by students, are held simultaneously on the Sapporo Campus. The main street lined with food stalls is bustling with activity. In addition to attending trial lectures, there are many stage events and more, making it a fun and lively festival.

It is a comprehensive humanities-oriented university consisting of five faculties organized into one academic cluster with 13 majors, and it also includes a women’s junior college division. The name of the university festival was changed from Bunren Festival to Genten Festival starting in 2024.

Kandaisai | Japanese Red Cross Hokkaido College of NursingHokkaido, Sat 6/20–Sun 6/21
Japanese Red Cross Hokkaido College of Nursing is a private university located in Akebono-cho, Kitami, Hokkaido, established in 1999. With the opening of the university, the Red Cross Nursing Schools in Kitami, Asahikawa, and Kushiro were reorganized and integrated. It is a university with only a Faculty of Nursing, operated by the Red Cross. The school festival is called Kandaisai and is held every June.
