Tsuda University was founded in 1900 as a private school, the Women’s English School, dedicated to women’s higher education. The words of its founder, Umeko Tsuda—who urged students to be “well-rounded women”—have been passed down to the present day. The school festival is held on the Kodaira Campus and features a wide variety of events, including stage performances and exhibitions. Collaborative projects with external companies are sometimes organized as well.
