SILENT SIREN is a girls’ band affectionately known as “Saisai.” Formed in 2010, they drew a lot of attention because all the members were reader models.
They are recognized as a group that leads the girls’ band scene in both name and reality.
Ezo Shika Dance!!Midori

A rock band that disbanded in 2010.
They were known by the nickname “the distorted JUDY AND MARY of Osaka.” You can’t help but be overwhelmed by vocalist Mariko Goto’s performances, where she thrashes her guitar in a sailor-school-uniform outfit.
They delivered hardcore punk featuring vocals that shine—sometimes fierce, sometimes girlishly cute.
New OrderMASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS

MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS is a band known for roaring guitars and complex rhythms, often abbreviated as “Masudore.” They went on hiatus in 2012 but resumed activities in 2015, generating buzz.

Alstroemeriakomsume

Contrary to what their name might suggest, komsume blast out gritty, hard-hitting rock.
They’re a girls’ three-piece band from Kobe.
Since launching their first live show in May 2022, they’ve been winning people over with vocalist Ayumi’s husky, high-octane voice and lyrics that are dark, direct, and resonate with Gen Z—the combination packs a punch.
In February 2025 they released their second mini-album, “Futaiten,” and the track “Shoudou” was picked for a Spotify playlist.

Split end is a four-piece girls’ band from Nara Prefecture.
With emotionally gripping lyrics and a pleasant high-tone voice, their music is highly addictive.
They originally started as a cover band formed by high school classmates.
Featuring wistful lyrics and a clear, translucent vocal, they have a dreamy, floating feel that leaves you in a daze—making them a girl band to watch.
