Let’s make decorations you can enjoy both day and night using balloons and liquid laundry starch.

You’ll need water balloons, liquid laundry starch, water, tissue paper, a brush, black construction paper cut into facial features, glue, scissors, a hole punch, tape, and ribbon or string.

Use the laundry starch to stick torn pieces of tissue paper onto the water balloons.

Once they’re completely dry, remove the water balloons and attach the facial parts.

Stick tape on the sides and punch holes, then thread ribbon or string through to complete your garland! If you place lights inside, you can enjoy a different ambiance at night.

A witch's broom made of yarn

This is a lovely craft that uses yarn to represent a witch’s broom.

Wrap yarn around a piece of thick paper over and over.

Once you have a decent bundle, cut it at one point with scissors, and insert a paper straw into the center of the bundle.

Tie the center of the yarn with another piece of yarn, wrap one side around, and tuck it into the bundle on the other side.

Trim the ends of the yarn to finish.

The preparations are simple, so it should be easy to make.

At Halloween costume parties, there are sure to be people dressed as witches, right? Try decorating with this for lively Halloween events.

Decorations that brighten up your room! Let’s make a Halloween-themed sun catcher.

A sun catcher is a decorative interior item that sparkles when it reflects sunlight and other light.

Hang it by a window and it will gather the sun’s rays, making your room bright and glittery.

Most of the materials can be found at 100-yen shops.

Since you’ll use materials like resin—a liquid that cures under UV light—and glitter, it could be fun to get creative and make it together with children.

Halloween garland made with yarn and toilet paper rolls

This is a garland that uses toilet paper rolls to take your Halloween vibe up a notch.

First, cut the toilet paper roll in half and apply double-sided tape so the yarn will stick easily.

Then wrap yarn in Halloween colors—orange, purple, and black—around it.

Next, glue on triangle eyes and cat ears made from black origami paper, plus eyeballs made from round stickers, and you’re done.

Thread them onto a string and enjoy decorating your room with a cute garland full of Halloween spirit!

Felt Halloween decorations

This is a Halloween wall decoration made with felt.

Cut the felt into leaf shapes and make many pieces by gluing them onto wire.

Gather the wired leaves, offsetting them slightly as you go, and you’ll have a felt leaf decoration.

Its simplicity gives it a sophisticated look.

It’s lovely placed by a window, or you can stick it on the wall as a garland.

Shape it into a circle, secure it, and add Halloween ornaments to turn it into a wreath.

Because it uses wire, you can freely change its shape, making it a decoration you can enjoy in many different ways.
