Easy Origami! Cute Heart Folding Ideas (1–10)
Heart-shaped book-style card

Fold the origami into a triangle three times with the colored side facing up.
Hold the corner that will be the center of the origami and roundly cut the top.
When you open it, it should look like a flower, so refold the creases alternating mountain and valley folds, and fold it into a heart shape.
If white edges show when folded, trim them with scissors.
The initial rounded cut determines the heart’s shape, so cut to match your image—a round heart, a long narrow heart, and so on.
How to fold a long, slender heart
A long, slender heart you can enjoy making with kids.
Fold 5 times to form the heart shape, then fold 4 more times to round it out.
First, fold the origami paper into a triangle.
Flip the triangle upside down, reposition the paper, and fold the left and right edges to meet the center crease.
Next, turn the paper over and fold the protruding tip into a small triangle.
After that, tuck in the top and the left and right corners slightly to finish! If you fold it 3 more times, you can turn it into a regular rounded heart, so shape it into the style you like.
How to fold a winged heart

A simple heart with wings design boosts the cuteness and playfulness in no time! First, fold the paper in half twice to make creases.
Fold the near edge up to the center.
Flip it over, fold the left and right edges to the center, then fold the near edge like making a boat, pressing in fine folds to set the lines.
Open it and continue folding in an accordion style.
Next, fold both bottom corners up into triangles.
Shape the corners into a heart, and your winged heart is complete! By changing the angle and size of the wings, the look changes, so you can enjoy creating your own original design.

Easy! Heart Bookmark

A heart-shaped bookmark that’s perfect as a small gift! Place a sheet of origami cut in half (1/2) horizontally, fold it in half top to bottom to make a crease.
Open it, then fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease and crease again.
Fold the right edge in to match the distance between the creases, and flip the paper over.
Fold the top-right and bottom-right corners in to the center line to make triangles, then flip the paper over and fold along the base of the triangles.
Flip the paper over again and reposition it so the folded section is at the top.
Open the pocketed sections and squash-fold so the paper becomes a rectangle, then fold the four top corners into small triangles—and you’re done.
Perfect for bookmarks! Heart with roe

Please prepare a strip of origami paper cut into quarters.
Fold it to align the left/right and top/bottom edges to make a cross crease, then open it and place the origami with the white side up.
Place it horizontally.
Next, fold the left and right edges inward by about 1 cm, flip the paper over, and fold the corners of the folded sections into triangles aligning them with the center line.
Flip the paper over again, and this time fold inward along the bases of the triangles on the left and right.
Open the pocket on the back side of the folded section and squash it, then fold both top corners of the squashed part into triangles.
You should now have a neat heart on the back.
Finally, fold the left and right sides to meet the center line to shape it into a heart, and you’re done!
How to fold a heart box
Some people make paper boxes to use as trash bins, right? I think a heart-shaped box like this would be super cute! In this idea, you start by creasing the paper to make a 4-by-4 grid of 16 squares.
Once you’ve made the creases, place the origami with the white side up, fold the left corner toward the center, and make a crease.
Then turn the paper over so the colored side is up, and, while folding the bottom and left edges inward along the creases, fold the left corner into a square shape.
This folded section will form the heart.
From here, you’ll add more creases to shape it into a box, so take it step by step and proceed carefully.
Love Cats Pocket
If you’ve ever thought, “I wish there were a simple origami heart to hold Valentine’s chocolates…,” this is the one to check out.
Inside the heart are two adorable kitties side by side—purr-fect for cat lovers and possibly the ultimate heart origami for them! If the chocolate is thin, like Carré de chocolat, you can tuck it into the pocket for maximum cuteness.
This heart design was apparently created by origami artist Mikii, so if you’re interested, be sure to take a look!
