44MAGNUM is a heavy metal band formed in 1977.

They disbanded once but reunited in 2002 and are still active today.

While firmly metal, the band also had a visual-kei-like aesthetic; with their cool looks and flashy style, they were known as the “Japanese Mötley Crüe.”

They started their career as a visual kei band, and when they made their major debut, the fact that YOSHIKI took part in the production also drew attention.

From the 2000s onward, however, they gravitated toward loud rock.

Now, as a singular heavy rock band, they’ve come to electrify major festivals around the world.

This is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band formed in 2019.

Comprised entirely of women, they embrace the concept: “sound as fierce as hell, everything else soft and fluffy.” From 2020 to 2021 they self-produced three singles and gained fans both in Japan and abroad by uploading videos to YouTube.

In December 2021, they released their first studio album, REVIVE.

They are known for an unpredictable, mixed-genre style that incorporates a variety of musical elements.

Each member brings different backgrounds and interests, creating a uniquely expressive sound.

The contrast between their intense sound and cute appearance is captivating, making them recommended not only for heavy metal fans but also for anyone interested in discovering new music.

No explanation needed—they’re a foundational presence in the visual kei scene.

They left behind many legends from their indie days, but also faced numerous major troubles and tragedies.

After welcoming LUNA SEA’s SUGIZO as their guitarist, they restarted and continue to thrill countless fans to this day.

WARRIOR’S PLAYVOLCANO

A band formed around Shinjitsu “She-Ja,” who debuted as the guitarist of Gargoyle and also made his mark as the original guitarist of Animetal.

Featuring the aggressive vocals of NOV, known for his work as the former vocalist of AION, and She-Ja’s guitar work that weaves acoustic passages and soulful, emotional phrases into ferocious songs, this metal band delivers a unique intensity with elements of melodic death metal.

Mari Hamada is known as one of Japan’s leading female rock vocalists.

She debuted in 1983 and rose to popularity with hit songs such as “Blue Revolution” and “Return to Myself.” Ranging from early hard rock to pop, her musical style is wide, and her powerful four-octave range and soaring high notes have continued to captivate many fans.

In 1987, she moved her recording base to Los Angeles and realized collaborations with a variety of musicians.

She boasts vocal prowess that is highly regarded overseas as well.

In 2013, the 30th anniversary of her debut, she successfully held a special concert tour.
