Formed in 1999, The KING LION is a band from Akita Prefecture pursuing traditional Jamaican ska, energetically based in the Tohoku region.
Championing the recreation of an authentic ska sound, they embody their unique philosophy of “evolution in the name of regression,” realizing a large-scale lineup—six horns and three guitars—for the first time in 25 years.
