Introducing a monster costume made with colored plastic bags.

For the hat worn on the head, wrap a deep paper plate with a plastic bag and create a logo/mark from construction paper to stick on.

Adjust the hat size where the elastic band will hold it in place.

Match a light green plastic bag to the child’s size, then cut it with the sleeve openings and neckline in mind.

Add elastic to the neckline and gather it to fit.

Once you glue on the monster’s eyes and mouth made from construction paper, it’s complete.

By changing the colors of the plastic bags, you can create a variety of colorful monsters.

dinosaur

We’ll show you how to make an adorable dinosaur costume that looks cute from the back, recommended for ages 0 to around 2.

Prepare nonwoven fabric in the color of the dinosaur you want to make.

Cut the nonwoven fabric to fit your child’s head and sew it into a hat shape.

When making the horns on the hat, use two triangular pieces layered and sewn together; this increases strength and helps the horns stand up firmly and stay in place.

For the dinosaur outfit, stuff the tail with cotton to give it volume, and use hook-and-loop fasteners for the shoulder straps to make size adjustments easy.

Add elastic at the ankles to gather the fabric so the costume won’t drag on the ground when walking.

Guri and Gura

Guri and Gura

Let us introduce costumes inspired by Guri and Gura that are perfect for a sports day.

Prepare patterns for the clothes, ears, and hat sized for your child, and let’s get started.

It’s easier if you create the patterns using your child’s clothing as a sample.

Cut the felt according to the patterns, and cut out the clothes, hat, ears, and each part.

For the tail, make it long and cut it to match your child’s height.

When sewing the ears together, overlap the base portions as you sew to add a three-dimensional look—highly recommended.

When sewing the sides of the hat, sandwich the ears in and sew them together.

Attach the brim to finish the hat.

For the clothes, sew the tail onto the back first, then sew the rest together.

These will look adorable and are sure to be a hit at the sports day.

Refreshing colors are perfect for a sports day! Here are some costume ideas inspired by Alice.

The blue dress with a white apron is a popular outfit that many children want to wear at least once.

This time, let’s make an Alice-like costume using colored plastic bags.

It’s also great for events themed around a fantasy world.

With Alice’s “free-spirited creativity” and “adventurous spirit” on their side, we hope children can take part in sports day with confidence and joy.

Be sure to give it a try on this occasion!

Costumes made from colored plastic bags look adorable and seem easy to move around in, just like Pretty Cure outfits! When children wear these costumes with a sense of admiration, they’ll feel powered up and show how much more they’ve grown compared to last year.

Since no needles or thread are needed, the process is simple.

It’s recommended for teachers and guardians who aren’t confident with crafts, too.

Please give it a try!
