The second Sunday of May is Mother’s Day, right? How about making a craft to express your everyday “thank you”? It’s a mother figure with a carnation, made using a toilet paper roll and origami.

Of course, the “mother” part can be customized to represent anyone the children want to thank.

Cut origami paper into wavy strips, fold them to make the carnation, and decorate a toilet paper roll with origami to create the figure.

Combine the carnation and the figure to complete the piece.
